My 6 Most Anticipated Movies of 2018
I love movies. I love all storytelling, really, but I especially enjoy going out to the movies. It’s a fun event, whether alone or with friends. Last year, my New Year’s Resolution was to go see more movies in the theater. I pulled off that plan with flying colors, and the universe rewarded me with that $10 a month MoviePass deal! Anybody else taking advantage of that? It may all come crashing down sooner rather than later, but for now, I’m just gonna keep heading to the theater over and over again!

2018 promises to be a pretty cool year for movies. There are a lot on my list that I still need to see from 2017, but I want to look ahead with rose-colored glasses at the fun year I”m going to have at the cinema! It’s going to be so much fun, I had to double-up on some of my answers here!
Join me after the jump for the movies I am most looking forward to in the year ahead! And please feel free to share some of your own in the comments!
Some Genius Made an Amazing Star Wars Thing!
That genius would be animator John Stratman, and the thing would be this badass 16-bit animation of the finale of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. So if you haven’t seen the movie yet, you might want to skip this video. But it is pretty awesome.
And I like celebrating awesome things. The video is hosted by Mr. Sunday Movies.

Starting the New Year With Some Legit Awesomeness
This is a fine how do you do. I’ve been writing this blog for nigh on to a bunch of years now. Once upon a time, I thought it might make me a big deal, but it hasn’t really caught on with anybody important. I just write my stuff and hope that you good people read and enjoy.
Well check out this surprise when I ordered some Spider-Woman trade paperbacks this week.
You can double check the book’s Amazon page if you don’t believe me!
I loved Dennis Hopeless’ Spider-Woman comic. I was going to make it my favorite comic of 2017 before I checked and saw that only a couple issues came out at the start of the year. It’s a great comic and I stand by that blurb on the cover!
I’ve been blurbed, people! Blurbed! It truly is an honor.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 12/27/17
Happy last comic reviews of the year, everybody! The horrible year of 2017 is almost over, leading into possibly the even worse 2018! There’s only one way to find out! I had a pretty solid 2017, to be honest. I published a graphic novel. I gave online dating a try. And I paid off my car a couple months early. Not too bad.
It’s another weird week of not having any Marvel comics to review. As a Marvel Zombie, I do find that weird. I’m also beginning to realize that the only DC comics I read involve the Bat-Family. I need to work on that. But for now, I’ll enjoy stuff like Detective Comics, which wins Comic Book of the Week!
Normally I would use this space to talk about the latest Big Event, but then I remembered that I decided to actually review Doomsday Clock like a normal comic. I’m slightly regretting that at the moment. Over at Marvel, I skipped the resurrection of Jean Grey because I largely don’t care.
Comic Reviews: Batgirl #18, Detective Comics #971, Doomsday Clock #2 and Go Go Power Rangers #5.
Movie Trailer Round-Up!
Between vacations and holidays over the past month, I’ve been sitting on a couple movie trailers waiting for a day when I didn’t have anything better to post. So here they are!
First up is Ocean’s 8, which, I dunno…looks kinda dumb.
I thought it was going to be more than just a gender-swapped Ocean’s 11 remake. And if you’re just going to remake Ocean’s 11, but with women, why stop at 8? They couldn’t find three other women to join up?
Then there’s Annihilation, which looks all manner of freaky deaky.
Yeah, I might go see that one, just to see what he heck is going on!
