6 Thoughts on the Second Season of Iron Fist
And just like that, Iron Fist totally redeems itself! I loved the second season of Iron Fist! I haven’t been this excited about Marvel’s Netflix Defenders in what feels like a long time. The action was thrilling, the pacing was solid and the characters were full of life and good development. This was a very exciting season of television.

TV Show Rating: 9/10 – Great.
I did not dislike the first season of Iron Fist like most people. I didn’t love it, but I also didn’t hate it. I was largely just fine with it. But I’m very pleased to say that Marvel and Netflix took all of our criticisms to heart, brought in a new showrunner and set about fixing Iron Fist‘s problems. I would have to say that they largely succeed across the board!
First and foremost, the fights are much better choreographed and more fun to watch! This is a show about mystical martial arts, so the martial arts action should be the most important part of the darn show. Iron Fist season 2 makes that happen and is therefore better for it.

6 Movie Superheroes I Like Better Than Their Comic Versions
I love comic books. I love superhero movies. These things are known and they shouldn’t be very surprising, considering how long I’ve been churning away at this comic book blog with little to no return! Where’s my fame, huh? Why is nobody nominating me for a Bloggie award?
Ahem, anyway, the idea popped into my head the other day that there are a couple of characters where I prefer the movie version to the comic book version.
Seems like a pretty simple idea. I’m a big comic book geek who loves some of the most obscure characters. It’s a little embarrassing when somebody who knows I loves comics asks who my favorite superhero is, and I have to honestly reply “Multiple Man”, and then explain who that even is. Thankfully, we’ve got great superhero movies now, and I can name some of these popular movie versions!
6 Big Superheroes That Need Build-A-Figures
What a time to be a toy fan! This month, I got both the LEGO Voltron set and a proper Marvel Legends Multiple Man action figure! I’ve been crowing about wanting LEGO Voltron since at least this List of Six in 2015, and the Multiple Man action figure has been my hill to die on since at least the very first year of this blog! And now both are mine!
So how about I make some more toy predictions and hope to get lucky?
I love the Build-A-Figure concept. It’s pretty darn fun. Basically, when a new line of about half a dozen action figures come out, each box contains a part of a bigger action figure. Buy the entire line and collect each part and you can build the big one. I own a bunch from over the years. I’ve got the giant Sentinel from one of the earliest Build-A-Figure lines. I’ve got Onslaught. I’ve got the Blob. They are so much fun! And there’s one very specific big character that I want to see next…
So I’ve made a whole list of big characters who should get Build-A-Figures! Join me after the jump for the list! And please share your own wants and dreams in the comments!
6 Movie Ideas for the Venom Cinematic Universe
Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it. Remember when the movie Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out only four years ago and the SONY movie studio had all these big, amazing plans to create their own Spider-Man-centric shared universe? They wanted a Black Cat & Silver Sable movie, an Aunt May movie, a Sinister Six movie; oh boy, they were going to get themselves a big chunk of that Marvel Cinematic Universe money!
Then their movie bombed and their plans fell apart overnight.
Well now they’ve got Venom coming out in a couple of months, and their desperate partnership with Marvel to rehabilitate Spider-Man has worked like gangbusters. So apparently SONY isn’t going to learn from their past mistakes. Word has it that they’re once again ramping up plans for their own cinematic universe using all of the Marvel characters they have the rights to. There are plans for a Morbius movie, a Kraven movie, a Nightwatch movie; Black Cat and Silver Sable are going to get their own separate movies, and even the name “Jackpot” has been circulated as a possible film. Do you remember Jackpot? Jeez la-frickin’-louise! Have they learned nothing?!
What makes things even worse is that SONY no longer has access to Spider-Man to center this interconnected universe around. He’s on loan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Marvel isn’t about to taint their awesomeness with SONY’s desperation. As well they shouldn’t.
But hey! I’m a reasonable guy! And if the Venom movie is successful and he becomes the new cornerstone of SONY’s big movie plans, I have a couple of ideas for other symbiote movies they can make!
