My 6 X-Men Comic Book Ideas (for the Krakoa Era)
My lifelong dream is to become a professional writer. And while I am currently working on a self-published comic book series — Gamer Girl & Vixen — I’m also constantly dreaming up ideas for new comics and stories and characters. And a lot of time, I do this daydreaming for actual, existing properties. Because someday, universe willing, I might get invited to pitch to Marvel Comics.
But I’m not getting invited to pitch tomorrow, so I thought a fun little game would be to share some of my X-Men comic ideas with all of you. I was inspired by the announcement last week that Leah Williams will be writing a new X-Terminators series, in which a bunch of cool characters will have a fun and wild adventure for five issues. That is exactly what I want to do: pitch a bunch of 5-issue, X-Men mini-series to Marvel, just to have some fun and write some cool X-Men.
So join me after the jump for a peek at my creator notebook for some random X-Men comic book ideas!

What a week, people! This might be one of the most joyous weeks in comics I’ve ever had. We got a new Multiple Man Marvel Unlimited comic this week, Strong Guy gets in on the action in Secret X-Men and then we’ve got the mother of all team-ups!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Amazing Spider-Man #88.BEY for bringing together some of my favorite obscure characters for a delightful comic! I’m so glad my obscure favorites aren’t being needlessly murdered for once! Let’s here it for Hornet and the Slingers!
Meanwhile, I’ll have a review up next week on the first season of The Book of Boba Fett. Pretty underwhelming, if you ask me, but otherwise fine. Then the week after, I want to do a review of the first season of Peacemaker, because that show is amazing! Why couldn’t James Gunn have made a Boba Fett TV show? Oh well. In other news, I’m enjoying Pokemon Legends: Arceus just fine.
Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #88.BEY, Batgirls #3, Mighty Morphin #16, Robins #5 and Secret X-Men #1.

Fun news, everybody! Remember when Marvel held a public vote for the final member of the new Krakoan X-Men team? And remember how Strong Guy (and a bunch of others) lost? Well Marvel loves fun, so they’re going to launch a new Secret X-Men comic book next year starring all the nominees who didn’t make the cut!
Looks like fun to me! It’s going to be a one-shot comic by Tini Howard and Francesco Mobili in which the team goes on a mission into Shi’ar space. You can read more about it at Marvel.com.
Honestly, this team would make for a great group of X-Men. Marvel should keep it going! Also, I don’t want to say anything, but “Secret X-Men” was the title of my own Krakoa-era X-comic that, obviously, I’ll never get to publish. But I can dream…

The 6 Characters I Would Use in Secret X-Men (My Dawn of X Comic)
It’s that time of year again: San Diego Comic-Con! Except the world sucks and those of us in America are going to die from a horrible virus that’s ravaging our dumbest states! Comic-Con, like everything else, was cancelled this year. They’re going to make a lot of big announcements virtually, and I’ll still report on them on this blog if they’re fun enough. But really, the main thing I care about is my annual tradition of fan-casting a superhero team!
And since San Diego Comic-Con is not real this year, then neither is my superhero team! Meet the Secret X-Men!
So basically, ever since Dawn of X revived and relaunched the X-Men franchise, we have seen all manner of new X-Men comics come and go. We’ve got X-Men, New Mutants, X-Force; we had Fallen Angels for a bit, and we’ve got Marauders and maybe the Hellions; a new X-Factor is supposed to be coming out. There’s a ton of freestyle X-Men books, is what I’m saying. Me being the creative chap that I am came up with one of my own: Secret X-Men. And since it’s probably far too late for me to get my foot in the door of Krakoa to pitch this idea to Marvel, I’m just going to make a fan-casting blog post about it!
I’ve done a bunch of these over the years. They’re basically just a fantasy game where I get to write some major team comics and pick my own roster. Last year was Guardians of the Galaxy. I’ve done the core X-Men team. I’ve done my version of X-Force. I’ve done the Avengers, the Justice League, the Fantastic Four, the Teen Titans, the Defenders and the Exiles. So enjoy those old lists and join me after the jump for my idea and the team roster of the Secret X-Men!
And feel free to share your own dream Dawn of X comics, real or imagined, in the comments below! This is just going to be a creativity free-for-all.
