Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 12/6/25
It’s been another hell of a week here in TV Land. I tripped and fell earlier and banged up my knees pretty bad. Nothing serious, but who needs this extra pain and suffering, am I right? Anyway, this week is more Batman.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League #5 because I love it when a plan comes together.
Meanwhile, I grabbed Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion game and it’s a pretty solid beat’em up so far. Nothing spectacular, but fun like these usually are. And I watched and thoroughly enjoyed the first part of the final Stranger Things finale. The show has still got it and I can’t wait for the rest of the season!
Comic Reviews: Batman #4 and Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League #5.

What’s happening, party people? Got a fun stack of all DC comics this week, because they’re really putting out the bangers nowadays. So I hope you enjoy Batman and Absolute Superman!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Absolute Evil #1 for some truly legitimate surprises!
Meanwhile, I’ve barely scratched the surface of Silksong and I’m also contemplating just dropping it for Ghost of Yotei! I’m only human! But I also finally just got Mortal Kombat 1, so maybe I’ll play that to pass the time.
Also, if you live in Central New York, I’ll be going to my first comic-con since the pandemic at Uticon in Utica, NY! I’ll be selling both volumes of Gamer Girl & Vixen! So if you want a copy, now is the perfect time to come out and buy my book!
Comic Reviews: Absolute Evil #1, Absolute Superman #12, Batman #2 and Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League #3.

Happy Birthday to me! Enough years have passed that my birthday once again falls on a Saturday, so I get to share some comic reviews for my birthday! And what a darn good week for comics, like Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman! Honestly, I’ve been reading way more DC books than Marvel these days…
Comic Book of the Week goes to Batman #1 because it’s a very strong start for the Matt Fraction run of the Caped Crusader.
Meanwhile, not doing anything special for my birthday because that’s what happens when you’re in your 40s. I bought myself a new computer, and that’s running nicely. And I splurged on some graphic novels and action figures. So feeling pretty good. And I’ll be sharing some comic book news soon enough!
Comic Reviews: Absolute Superman #11, Absolute Wonder Woman #11, Amazing Spider-Man #11, Batman #1 and Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #2.

Another decade has come and gone and we are all, therefore, another decade older. I know I’m feeling it! Let us distract ourselves from such mortal concerns by reflecting on my favorite comic books from the past 10 years!
My memory isn’t all that great, but I’ve looked back over my various comic reviews and favorites lists and I think I’ve narrowed down a good list of 10 comics that I very much enjoyed. This blog started in 2011, so I’ve definitely been talking about a lot of comics over the past 10 years. It was a pretty monumental decade! We had the New 52 from DC Comics and the influence of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at Marvel Comics.
This was also the decade where I finally started writing my own comics! Gamer Girl & Vixen has been doing pretty well, and volume 2 is in production!
Join me after the jump as I take a look back at my favorite comics from the past decade! They are not in any particular order.
