How The Batman Should Have Ended
Welp, it’s another Monday. Gotta get up. Gotta go to work. Gotta consider something to share on my blog. Thankfully, the fine folks at How It Should Have Ended put up their cartoon for The Batman. Makes my Monday just that much easier. These people still do good work.
Some OK jokes. Some good plot hole poking. And a really fun alternate ending. Good times all around. And it wasn’t just 10 minutes of their cafe scenes that I don’t like. Heck, I even liked this one! The most important thing is that my Monday posting is taken care of.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/23/22
I think I’m running out of comics. I’m dropping more titles than I’m picking up, resulting in some pretty sparse review columns each week! I should read more…but man, some of the major comics coming out just aren’t my cup of tea. I’m stuck enjoying some truly stupendous comics like Nightwing and Power Rangers.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Nightwing #91 for another delightful team up between Nightwing and the Flash. I’m glad to see that all that Wally West madness has been straightened out and he can just be the Flash without any baggage.
Meanwhile, I beat Horizon Forbidden West and had a blast! That game was everything I wanted it to be, so I’m very pleased. Now I just need to wait a week to get that Horizon LEGO set. I also saw Everything Everywhere All At Once and that movie was absolutely phenomenal! Early contender for movie of the year! Do yourself a favor and go find and watch that movie!
Comic Reviews: Nightwing #91 and Power Rangers #18.

The first teaser trailer for Lightyear really struck a chord with me thanks to its sweet rendition of David Bowie’s “Starman”. We didn’t know too much about the story, and I am totally open to a movie about Buzz Lightyear the fictional character. That’s fine by mean and not too hard to understand.
But now we’ve got a new story trailer, and I’m liking the movie less and less with each subsequent trailer. There’s no “Starman” at all in this one.
I guess I don’t know what I’m expecting from this movie, but a typical adventure where our hero teams up with a squad of rando losers in order to save the day wasn’t one of them. That seems less a story about something and more just story filler. Also, and perhaps I’ll take flak about this from the millions of people who read this blog, but I already hat that robotic cat.
I’ve really taken a hard stance in recent years against animated animal sidekicks. Movies don’t need that crutch!
Anyway, Lightyear comes to theaters on June 17.

My 6 X-Men Comic Book Ideas (for the Krakoa Era)
My lifelong dream is to become a professional writer. And while I am currently working on a self-published comic book series — Gamer Girl & Vixen — I’m also constantly dreaming up ideas for new comics and stories and characters. And a lot of time, I do this daydreaming for actual, existing properties. Because someday, universe willing, I might get invited to pitch to Marvel Comics.
But I’m not getting invited to pitch tomorrow, so I thought a fun little game would be to share some of my X-Men comic ideas with all of you. I was inspired by the announcement last week that Leah Williams will be writing a new X-Terminators series, in which a bunch of cool characters will have a fun and wild adventure for five issues. That is exactly what I want to do: pitch a bunch of 5-issue, X-Men mini-series to Marvel, just to have some fun and write some cool X-Men.
So join me after the jump for a peek at my creator notebook for some random X-Men comic book ideas!

The first teaser trailer arrived yesterday for Thor: Love and Thunder, the next great, hilarious Thor movie by director Taika Waititi. I loved Thor: Ragnarok and I couldn’t be more excited for what Love and Thunder has to offer.
I think this looks great! I love the idea of Jane Foster coming back as the Mighty Thor. I love main Thor’s journey of self reflection, and all his new costumes. I’m excited to see Gorr the God Butcher. This whole, wild crazy thing is going to be great!
Thor: Love and Thunder comes out on July 8!
