Some Quality TV Shows Are Coming Back

It’s Friday. The weekend is almost upon us. Sometimes you just wanna be able to be calm and ease into not having to do anything. So with that in mind, how about some simple yet enjoyable TV show trailers?

Solar Opposites is a fun cartoon. All those aliens having wacky adventures and being irreverent. I know I enjoy the show.

Solar Opposites is coming back to Hulu on July 13.

Then we’ve got What We Do In The Shadows, which is always funny and always enjoyable. Last season left off with some pretty great cliffhangers, so we’ll see how those play out.

What We Do In The Shadows returns to FX on July 12.

Epic Stranger Things Finale Arrives Next Week!

Strange Things season 4 has been pretty darn killer so far! Lots of action, lots of neat stuff has happened so far. I’m really excited for the final two episodes that will make up the season 4 finale. Here’s a trailer to give us all a really neat sneak peek!

Loving the continued use of Kate Bush music. I’d never heard the song “Running Up That Hill” before this season, and I’m loving it. I’m loving how Kate Bush is getting money and new recognition. That’s super fun for her! Hopefully much continued rocking is done in these last two, oversized episodes!

Stranger Things season 4 comes to an end on July 1!

The 6 Characters on My MCU Thunderbolts

Word came down from Hollywood on high last week that Marvel was working on a Thunderbolts movie. It’s been rumored for years, and it’s too hot a property to dismiss, so I’m all in favor of this happening. There are enough characters and villains from throughout the past decade of the MCU to put a really good anti-hero/anti-villain team together.

The 90s coming at you!

The biggest question is: what kind of movie is this? In the comics, the Thunderbolts were a team of villains posing as heroes, who slowly came around to the idea that being a superhero was awesome. It was one of the biggest twists in comic book history. But with acting announcements and the way Hollywood works, it would be nearly impossible to pull off a similar twist. So I think an MCU Thunderbolts should be the equivalent of the Dark Avengers. Some either villainous or anti-hero characters brought together to fill the void left by the actual Avengers, perhaps by Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. And maybe they’re used for nefarious purposes, but slowly come around to the idea that they should do more good.

Join me after the jump for my roster for an MCU Thunderbolts.

Westworld is Looking Freaky

Will I be watching the new season of Westworld on HBO? Probably! Will I remember what the heck is even going on? Probably not!

We are overflowing with good TV options these days, but the old standbys are still delightful. Westworld has been largely good across three seasons, but I never remember what the heck is going on or what’s going to happen. And the new full trailer doesn’t help in the least. But a show is a show, you know?

Westworld season 4 arrives on Sunday!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 6/18/22

I don’t know what came over me this week, but I wasn’t in a comic-reading mood. Fortunately, not too many titles came out this week, but I did skip a couple I wasn’t too jazzed about. Still, we’ve got new issues of Jurassic League and Power Rangers to enjoy!

Comic Book of the Week goes to Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #1 for a really great, character-focused debut issue.

Just a day in the life

Meanwhile, I’ve been exploring AppleTV+ this past week and I really loved The Afterparty. That show was great! Now I’m diving into Dickinson, and it’s been really fun, too. I also read through the first year or so of the comic Giant Days and that was also really good! I am surrounding myself with goodness these days.

Comic Reviews: Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #1, The Jurassic League #2, Power Rangers #20 and X-Men Red #3.
