Star Wars: Visions is Coming Back!

We got a new trailer late last week for a new season of Star Wars: Visions, which is pretty darn awesome. This is the anthology show where they let a bunch of international animation studios, especially those that work on anime, do some out-of-continuity Star Wars adventures. So lightsabers and spaceships and the Empire and all that good stuff, but in short little cartoons. They’ve been a blast so far!

I couldn’t tell from the trailer, but I’ve heard that some of my favorite bits from season one are going to get sequels in this new season. That’s pretty cool! And then we’ll have more original cartoons. It’s all very fun and exciting.

Season three of Star Wars: Visions comes to Disney+ on Oct. 29.

Check Out the New Cloakroom Issue on Kickstarter!

There’s less than a week left for the new Kickstarter campaign for the latest issue of The Cloakroom. This is the anthology series produced by students in Scott Snyder’s Comics Writing 101 class, of which I’ve been a proud member for a few years now. I even had a short story featured in the first issue of the anthology! I need to remember to share that full comic on here someday.

Anyway, I wanted to give a shout out to the new campaign because they’ve still got a ways to go before they hit their goal, in less than a week!

Click the pic for the campaign!

If you like short comics and want to help support some good people making good comics, then definitely consider backing the latest issue of The Cloakroom.

Hench-Sized Comic Reviews – 9/27/25

Comic reviews might have to take a back seat to life coming up next month. I’ve got a big project at work that is going to keep me busy around the clock! But we’ll see what I can get done. Until then, we’ve got a big, fun pile of comics this week, including Wonder Woman and X-Men!

Comic of the Week goes to Absolute Wonder Woman #12 for an absolutely perfect issue of this series. Kelly Thompson and her creative team are making this look easy.

No, the world needed Absolute Wonder Woman

Meanwhile, I watched the finale for Alien Earth this week and am mostly just whelmed. I’ve never been a big Alien franchise guy, but I liked the show well enough. Nothing special. I did really enjoy Haunted Hotel on Netflix, a new cartoon with 10 easy breezy episodes to get through if you’re into that sort of thing. And then my progress in Silksong has stalled because I can’t get past a couple of very early mini-bosses. I’m trying my best, gosh darnit! Fortunately, reviews for Ghost of Yokei are positively glowing, so perhaps I’ll grab that next week.

Comic Reviews: Absolute Wonder Woman #12, Black Cat #2, Void Rivals #23, Wonder Woman #25 and X-Men #22.

Holy Cow! Wolverine Video Game Trailer!

We’ve known for a few years now that Insomniac was making a Wolverine video game. They’ve done a fantastic job on all the Spider-Man games, and I’m in favor of them making all sorts of superhero games! Wolverine especially!

Looks amazing! Looks a little cut scene heavy, but what do I know? The fighting looks good too. And hopefully a lot of that is active game play. The costume looks great. The gore is on fire. This is a damn good trailer!

Wolverine has had some great video games in the past. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine game, in particular, was a wonderful time! So I can only hope we get something similar and something new and awesome out of this.

Also, they put out a behind-the-scenes segment as well! Just found this and am adding it to my original post.

For now, the Wolverine game is scheduled for next fall in 2026. We’ll see. It’s just nice knowing it’s coming out sooner rather than later at this point.

The Wicked Sequel is On Its Way!

I really enjoyed the Wicked movie. I’ve always heard how great the play is but never saw it, so I was very much looking forward to a cinema adaptation. Movies are my jam, after all. And the first one was good. And now we’re going to get Wicked: For Good in a couple of months. Sounds good to me!

Looks pretty epic and full of life and character and Wizard of Oz stuff and all that goodness. Is it just a retelling of the Wizard of Oz, but from the Wicked Witch’s secret perspective? I don’t remember and I don’t know for sure. Suffice to say, this is a big trailer and this will be a big movie.

Wicked: For Good comes to theaters on Nov. 21.
