Our First Look at the New Witcher

You know what, I’m probably going to watch the new season of The Witcher on Netflix when it comes out. I don’t really care that Henry Cavill left for creative differences. I don’t really care that the story is all over the place and I can’t remember what happened in the previous season. I don’t care that it differs from the video games. There’s still potential in the show.

The new Hemsworth lead looks the part. And there’s action and a wraith in that trailer. And I dunno…they’re gonna keep making it, I suppose I’ll keep watching.

But considering how popular that first season was, somebody really dropped the ball on The Witcher. This could have been a real hit! This coulda been a contender! And now it’s going to go out with the whimper of all whimpers.

The Witcher returns to Netflix for season 4 on Oct. 30.

There’s Gonna Be More Hazbin Hotel!

Hazbin Hotel was a pretty awesome show last yar. I haven’t watched Helluva Boss yet, but Hazbin Hotel was a darn hoot! And there’s a second season coming next month. We’ve even got a trailer! But don’t watch until you’re caught up on season one. It’s darn good, people!

Looks fun to me! This was a great show with great characters and great songs, and I can’t wait for it to come back and really push the envelope. Bigger songs! War between Heaven and Hell! Tons of kinky romance! Bring it all on!

Hazbin Hotel season 2 comes to Amazon Prime on Oct. 29.

Can’t Wait for Wake Up Dead Man!

We got a new trailer yesterday for Wake Up Dead Man, the third Benoit Blanc mystery (or Knives Out mystery, if you will). Can’t wait! These movies are incredible and I hope Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig just keep making them forever.

I was able to see Glass Onion in one of my local theaters back when that first came out, and hopefully I’ll be able to do the same with Wake Up Dead Man. Netflix is fine, but the big screen is the big screen!

The movie looks spooky, which is a nice take. Might as well switch up the settings and styles and tones between movies. Not a fan of Blanc’s new hairstyle…but what do I know? I’m not the fashion maven that is Benoit Blanc. I’m sure it will be fine!

Wake Up Dead Man comes to selected theaters on Nov. 26 and then to Netflix on Dec. 12!

Hench-Sized Comic Reviews – 9/6/25

Happy Birthday to me! Enough years have passed that my birthday once again falls on a Saturday, so I get to share some comic reviews for my birthday! And what a darn good week for comics, like Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman! Honestly, I’ve been reading way more DC books than Marvel these days…

Comic Book of the Week goes to Batman #1 because it’s a very strong start for the Matt Fraction run of the Caped Crusader.

Like…on the phone?

Meanwhile, not doing anything special for my birthday because that’s what happens when you’re in your 40s. I bought myself a new computer, and that’s running nicely. And I splurged on some graphic novels and action figures. So feeling pretty good. And I’ll be sharing some comic book news soon enough!

Comic Reviews: Absolute Superman #11, Absolute Wonder Woman #11, Amazing Spider-Man #11, Batman #1 and Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #2.

First Trailer for Marvel Zombies Cartoon!

I will probably always and forever be unapologetically Marvel. It’s in my blood. It’s in my soul. I don’t think they went downhill after Endgame and I’ve enjoyed everything they’ve put out (except for most of Secret Invasion). Eyes of Wakanda was great! And now here comes Marvel Zombies!

Looks like a fun, crazy action show in which a couple of Marvel heroes are thrown up against a zombie apocalypse and the zombie Avengers. It’s spun off a What If episode of the same premise, and that’s perfectly fine by me.

Marvel Zombies is coming to Disney+ on Sept. 24. I believe all four episodes will drop at once.
