Movie Trailer Monday: Not Alone
It’s Monday. I’m going back to work. Life moves on. How about a new movie trailer? It’s Not Alone by Illumination! Looks pretty cute.
I think it looks pretty neat. The movie could go in very many directions. Since it’s Illumination, it will probably going in the direction where those little alien are the entire stars of the film. But the soundtrack to the trailer, and the little love story they’ve got going on, could be fun, right? Could be something different? I’ll just keep hoping.
Not Alone comes to theaters…next April. That’s forever in the future!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 7/11/26
Can you believe another week of comics has come and gone? I missed last week because I was away for the holiday. And I’m back this week with the likes of Absolute Batman and Fury of Firestorm.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Daredevil #4 for the most exciting shock ending.
Meanwhile, did I mention that I watched and very much enjoyed Widow’s Bay? Great show! Lives up to all the hype and word of mouth it’s getting. I’m currently working my way through Maniac, a Netflix show from a few years ago. Not great, but alright. And I recently finished reading all Dunk and Egg novellas from the Game of Thrones universe. Those were fun. Should make for some entertaining future seasons of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Comic Reviews: Absolute Batman #22, Absolute Catwoman #2, Daredevil #4 and Fury of the Firestorm #4.

I’m as much a fan of the Last Airbender universe as the next person. I enjoyed the original show, I enjoyed Korra for the most part. I think I was very mid about the first live action season and haven’t gotten around to the second season…so huh, yeah, that seems typical fan to me!
There’s gonna be a new animated movie. It was supposed to go to theaters, but got knocked down to streaming. And then it got super pirated. So this movie has faced a lot of stumbling blocks. I didn’t watch the pirated version. I’m fine waiting for streaming.
Looks fine to me…it also looks just fine. I don’t think the Avatar fandom is strong enough to support a theatrical release, so putting it to streaming makes sense to me. Should be a nice adventure for Team Avatar. I don’t think it looks all that intense or super exciting or all that meaningful…we know the fate of these characters. But…they made it, so I’ll get around to watching it one of these days.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender comes to Paramount+ on July 25.

Just Some Lord of the Rings Fun from the Internet
The internet is a big, wild and scary place. And sometimes it can be fun. Like this Lord of the Rings song by Tom Cardy, which has been animated by Scum House Studio. Just watch, enjoy and go about your die.
I live for random stuff like this from the internet. It can bring joy. We can still experience joy. It’s just a funny bit and I hope you liked it as much as I did.

Star Wars is Getting a Full Anime
I still need to go back and watch the third season of Star Wars: Visions. I’m sure it’s just as quality as the first two seasons. But regardless, one storyline from the first and third seasons is getting turned into a full series anime: Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi.
Looks like it could be fun! So many of those Visions shorts could be full series, in my opinion. But I’m sure they’ve cooked up something fun with The Ninth Jedi. I’m a little worried at how closely it just apes existing Star Wars iconography — like the Darth Vader, the planet killer weapon and the little droid sidekicks — but I’m sure they’ve got something clever up their sleaves. At least I hope they do!
Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi comes to Disney+ on Aug. 5!
Also, check out my rankings of the first season and second season of Star Wars: Visions. And remind me to go watch the third season one of these days…definitely in time for Ninth Jedi.
