I’ve Never Seen a Saw Movie
And now I don’t have to! The Tell It Animated guy has gone above and beyond the call of duty with his latest video, recapping and animating all of the villains in the Saw franchise. He adds some bonus cheers and is hopefully having a good time with all of the work he’s doing.
This was another stellar video. Fun, funny and very informative. The man is doing good work.
I can’t remember what my previous suggestions were for. I think he should do Robin! And…Black Widow maybe? Although the window has probably passed on that one now.

6 Thoughts on Black Widow
At long last, after two years, we’ve finally got a major Marvel superhero movie in theaters! As an unapologetic Marvel fanboy, I was thrilled to see Black Widow on the big screen and enjoy another wonderful action film. And I’m very pleased to see the big box office numbers, meaning other people were just as happy to get out and watch Black Widow.
Movie Rating: 8/10 – Very Good.
I very much enjoyed Black Widow. I don’t really have any gripes or complaints or nitpicks. I know the online conversation around this movie has involved a lot of picks and nits here and there, but I am not one of those people. I enjoyed everything about this film. I don’t consider it one of Marvel’s all-time best or in the upper echelon of Marvel films. I just consider it another solid, enjoyable, well-made Marvel movie. And, honestly, I can feel a bit of that Marvel magic with this one. It’s hard to explain.
But I’m going to do my best! Join me after the jump for my thoughts and review of Black Widow. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the movie.

Pixar has been hot and cold for me over the past few years. I didn’t care for Soul. I loved Luca. Suffice to say, they are in a different mode these days than their all-time classics. So let’s see how they do next year with Turning Red.
Looks fine to me! A young girl dealing with anxiety turns into a giant red panda, Incredible Hulk style. Sounds like a solid metaphor for puberty and whatnot.
Turning Red is scheduled to arrive in theaters in March 2022.

Welp, the Snake Eyes Movie Has Won Me Over
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is only a couple of weeks away and it has won me over. I’ve been relatively skeptical about this film for a while, not entirely sure why the G.I. Joe franchise needed a spin-off out of the blue like this. But then the people at Paramount went and made a commercial that speaks to my very soul.
Just wonderful. Leaning into the 1980s G.I. Joe cartoon and action figures for your self-referential promotional material? Just hook it to my veins!
Snake Eyes comes to theaters on July 23 and you best believe I’m gonna see it!

Here Comes the Next Disney Animated Movie
Tonight I’m going to see a new Disney marvel superhero movie! Got my ticket for Black Widow already! But also today, we’ve got the first teaser trailer for Encanto, the next Disney animated movie. Looks pretty fun.
I’m very much enjoying most Disney animated movies these days. A lot more than Pixar movies. So here’s hoping! And this one also appears to be about superheroes? That’s always fun.
Encanto comes out in November.
