Someone Discovered the Secret of Happiness

The secret is little kids doing the voices for the latest Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer.

Who knew it would be this easy? Apparently the folks at The Watercooler knew the secret, because they made the above video, and the world is a brighter, better place for it. I know my day is better.

I Never Had This Much Fun When I Went to Tomorrowland

Possibly because they changed the awesome Alien Encounter ride from when I was a kid into some dumb Stitch comedy show. What a waste. I hope somebody got fired for that one. But at least this new Disney movie, Tomorrowland, might make up for my lost 40 or so minutes on that ride.

The teaser trailers were neat, and now that we get to see even more…I like it. Not the premise I thought it would be, but it still looks pretty cool. The effects look especially dazzling. So maybe I’ll actually see more than just superhero movies in the theater this Summer.

Lucy was OK

The lines of science and science fiction are blurred in Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy, and Cinema Sins goes to town!

I think I liked Lucy. It’s a weird movie, but fun in a weird/shooty/super-powers sort of way.

Oh! And Cinema Sins now have their own website: CinemaSins.com. Good for them. It’s fun having a website!

I’m Just Gonna Make This Patton Oswalt Week

Comedian Patton Oswalt made my List of Six this week of my favorite stand-up comedians, and that just so happens to coincide with Patton’s appearance on Screen Junkies talking about his Dream Sequel to Unbreakable. So I’ve decided to share the video and make this an unofficial Patton Oswalt Week!

I don’t know if I’ve ever played the Dream Sequel game. I know a few movies that should have sequels, but I don’t think I’ve ever planned out any of them in my mind. It sounds like an awesome game. And I trust Patton Oswalt’s taste in geeky ideas. This was a fun video, especially since I’m a huge Unbreakable fan. That movie is awesome.

What if Wes Anderson Directed the X-Men?

I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan, and I love parodies like this fan film that hit the Internet the other day. What if Wes Anderson brought his quirky directing style to the X-Men?

Those jumpsuits are definitely awesome.

The video was made by Patrick (H) Willems and is some real quality work. He’s got the tone, he’s got the weirdness, and he’s got the great characters. This film can be added to the other great Wes Anderson parodies out there in Internet-land.
