Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 3/20/21
Good news, everybody! I have been vaccinated! Or at least I got my first shot! Movie theaters are reopening and I want to be as safe as possible when I go to see Godzilla vs. Kong on the big screen! That sounds incredibly selfish of me. Anyway, somebody said something about comic books?
Comic Book of the Week goes to Nightwing #78! I’ve decided to give it a try and it was nice. Nothing spectacular, but such was this week in comics in general.
Meanwhile, I very much enjoyed the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier! Great starting point, great introduction to the characters and hopefully the launch of another fun show! The next bunch of weeks should be a hoot!
Comic Reviews: Iron Man #7, Justice League #59, Nightwing #78, S.W.O.R.D. #4 and Thor #13.

The first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now available on Disney+! I’ve heard good things. The critic reviews are very positive. I can’t wait to watch later tonight after work! Until then, how about the Honest Trailer for WandaVision? I told you these nifty online parodies were coming!
Good stuff! I also plan to watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League this weekend! I may or may not do a List of Six on my thoughts on the movie. As I recall, I enjoyed the Joss Whedon Justice League when I saw it in theaters…though I have no interest in it now.

6 Best Bird Super-Villains
In a few short days, the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will arrive on Disney+ and hopefully it’s great! In the meantime, I figured we could talk about bird super-villains! Why not? Birds are neat! The Falcon is a bird! In fact, the Falcon topped my previous List of Six on the best bird superheroes in comics!
But we’re not here to talk about superheroes! There are apparently enough bird-themed characters that a bunch of them are villains as well! And I’m not just talking about characters named after birds. Nah. These villains really go all-out in being birds. It’s fun! So why not put them in list form? I considered doing a winter themed list, but I already did one of those! Enjoy that as well!
Then join me after the jump for the best bird-brained super-villains in comics!

All trailers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have been fun. And with only a few days left until the first episode airs, we’ve got one last trailer to enjoy. If you don’t want to watch because you don’t want anything spoiled, I totally understand. I don’t watch pre-release clips for the same reason. But this trailer is the same as all the others. No major spoilers.
Looks great! This looks to be a really fun buddy action comedy, bringing big movie spectacle to the small screen. The leads are fun, the storylines sound interesting and I’m confident Marvel will have another hit! Just gotta wait until Friday to watch!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 3/13/21
Welcome to new comic book reviews! It’s a nice Saturday, with temperatures finally starting to break. And…yeah. It’s March! New comics including Mighty Morphin, X-Factor, Wonder Woman and more!
To shake things up a bit, I’m going to award Comic Book of the Week to Children of the Atom #1! As much as I enjoyed the new issue of Mighty Morphin, it’s time to diversify my favorites. Children of the Atom brought us something new and interesting.
Meanwhile, I recently found out that the movie theater in the next town over has reopened! It sounds like a very dangerous adventure, but it’s something I might risk to see Godzilla vs. Kong on the big screen in a couple weeks. Also, I’ve started playing Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. It’s fine so far, but feels a lot rougher than previous games.
Comic Reviews: Children of the Atom #1, The Green Lantern: Season Two #12, Mighty Morphin #5, Strange Academy #9, Wonder Woman #770 and X-Factor #8.
