6 Reasons Why I Should Buy a Nintendo Switch During Quarantine
These are troubling times. We are, all of us, living in interesting times as a deadly virus sweeps across the globe. I’ve been working from home for 2 1/2 weeks now with no sign of life going back to normal. I might not even have my job at the end of this — if there is an end of this. The world may never be the same ever again due to the coronavirus.
So I’m here to explain to you all why I should go out and buy a Nintendo Switch.

Look, I know what you’re going to say. But I’ve given this a lot of thought and I have, like, six really good reasons why I should load up BestBuy.com and order a brand, spanking new Nintendo Switch video game console. And a couple games. Granted, as I’m writing this, it’s currently sold out, but it wasn’t sold out a couple days ago, which means it’ll be in stock again someday. And I should buy one. Yep. For the full $300, plus a couple games. Trust me on this.
In fact, join me after the jump for all the very good, well-thought-out reasons why I should buy a Nintendo Switch while self-isolating at home.
Or How About a Couple of Fun Video Game Trailers?
There’s just not much else going on for entertainment these days. No more movies. No more comics. A lot of video games are getting delayed, along with some TV shows. How about some trailers for a couple of video games that just released.
First up is the latest trailer for the Final Fantasy 7 remake! I’ve read online that this trailer is full of SPOILERS, so watch at your own risk.
I’ve decided to hold off on getting this remake. The reviews are positive, and I am looking forward to the game, but I don’t know if I want to pay the full $60 for just the opening chapter when there is no promise of any future chapters. We’ll see how desperate I get for new video games…
Then we’ve got the Resident Evil 3 remake, because the only thing coming out these days is remakes of classic games, I guess…
This also looks pretty good. I was a big, big Resident Evil fan back when I had the original Playstation. It was one of my major franchises. But for some reason, I have held off on getting these remakes. I’m not sure why. They’re supposed to be really good. And perhaps I’ll, again, get desperate enough for new games to try them out. Maybe I’ll wait for Resident Evil 3 to also go on sale and then play them both back-to-back? Could be fun!

Here’s a Couple of Fun TV Show Trailers!
General anxiety in the face of the coronavirus is pretty strong right now. I’m this close to blowing some $400+ dollars on a Nintendo Switch that I don’t need right now. I’m twitching, people! I’m twitching!
So let’s ease the tension with some fun cartoon show trailers! Like, there’s a new Rick and Morty trailer!
Rick and Morty comes back to TV on May 3! The trailer looks great and I am absolutely looking forward to more Rick and Morty. I’m looking forward to more new shows and enjoyable things to do while I’m stuck at home.
Like, how about new episodes of DuckTales?!
Season 3 has already started, with two new episodes this Saturday! Based on that trailer, we’re going to get that Goofy cameo we were promised! So hopefully this will be a good season.
And hopefully I can use it to stave off my growing need to join the Animal Crossing fun that’s sweeping the nation…

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/4/20
Welp, there are no comic book reviews this week! A couple digital comics came out, but nothing I was willing to read enough to get caught up on. So…sorry! Nothing to see here this week!

In other news, in my grand tpb reading pile, I’m working my way through Jeff Loveless’ Nova resurrection storyline. It’s as great as I remember! And Loveless just got hired to write the script for Ant-Man 3! So good for him! Other than that, I’m currently playing Persona 5 on Playstation, and it’s living up to all of the good reviews I saw. And I’m just finishing up a watch of Picard, which is enjoyable, though I’ve never been a big Star Trek fan, so I can’t really comment how it works as a Star Trek show.
Just living life in quarantine and hoping the world doesn’t come to an end for real…

The Star Wars That Could Have Been
I’m a big fan of Mr. Sunday Movies, a YouTube podcaster from Australia who has been doing pop culture shenanigans for years now. His latest project is as fun as they come! He and animator Ethan Taylor have put together a video of Collin Trevorrow’s unused script for Star Wars: Episode 9.
Behold!
That’s really fun stuff! That animation is brilliant. Such a great job. It looks so smooth, with great comedic timing. And the movie looks like fun, too. I can’t say if it’s better than the Episode 9 we did get, but it definitely looks good. And, again, it’s a monumental animation project! Just what we need in lockdown.
I was OK with The Rise of Skywalker. But man, the whole sequel trilogy could have been so much better…
