Doctor Strange Was Honestly Good!
Doctor Strange comes out on DVD today, so let’s celebrate with an Honest Trailer!
I love them things. And I loved this movie. Though I suppose the heat has worn off a little bit. And it never helps when Honest Trailers really nails them for all their faults. Poor Doctor Strange movie.

New Kong: Skull Island Trailer is Pretty Darn Artistic
I’m not sure what to expect with Kong: Skull Island. I’m worried that it’s just going to be a big, CGI-filled action movie that just happens to include King Kong. But there’s a new trailer that looks absolutely phenomenal!
Like, that’s the most artistic movie trailer I think I’ve ever seen! It’s well edited, it’s got exciting new footage, some great dialogue bits, and it even makes John C. Reilly’s random comedic relief character seem alright. I dig this trailer.
Also, the movie comes out in less than two weeks! We are definitely already in prime movie season, it would seem!

Say Hello to Henchie!
Say hello to Henchie, the new Henchman-4-Hire mascot! I’ve been meaning to create my own iconic mascot since I started this blog upwards of six years ago, but through sheer force of laziness, it never happened! But jokes on you, Past Sean, because the future is here and the mascot is now!
Henchie was designed and drawn by artist extraordinaire Gemma Moody, the artist on my comic series, Gamer Girl & Vixen. I knew she was the perfect choice to draw a fun and friendly mascot. She’s superb! And she’s open for commissions if you’d like your own artwork!
Sometime soon — probably tonight (Update: or right now, actually, I got tired of waiting) — I’m going to add Henchie to the blog. I’m going to change some colors around and add a new header image at the top there. I may even do more changes beyond that in the future, depends on what random whims control my destiny.
For now, say hello to my own original blog mascot! All my pinks are especially tickled that I now have my own Henchman-4-Hire!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 2/25/17
Oh man, you guys, have I got some big news for you! This is news that has been building since I first started this blog a million years ago! I’m going to reveal this news tomorrow and it’s going to blow all your minds!
Until then, comics! Like Hulk and Prowler and Mosaic! And I’ve even decided to start reading Steve Orlando’s Justice League of America, replacing the Teen Titans as the DC team book I’m reading.
Comic Book of the Week was a tough one to decide. At first I was going to give it to the new issue of Detective Comics, for an exciting issue. But then I read Spider-Woman and my heart melted all over again. Dennis Hopeless has done an amazing job on this comic!
Meanwhile, Inhumans vs. X-Men continues to plod along in its desperate attempt to make sure everybody comes out of it smelling like roses. Do not recommend.
Comic Reviews: Detective Comics #951, Hulk #3, Infamous Iron Man #5, Justice League of America #1, Mosaic #5, Prowler #5 and Spider-Woman #16.
And So There is a Duke Thomas Action Figure I Gotta Have
Toy Fair was this past weekend, and while once again I did not attend, I could very much salivate over all the pictures and good action figure news I found online! Among the good news was this stellar Duke Thomas as Robin action figure that I now gotta have.
As a major Robin fan, I’m so far OK with Duke Thomas as Batman’s new partner. I’m not thrilled that he’s Yellow Batman Junior instead of Robin, but I’m hoping DC and their creative people go somewhere good with this. He’s Robin in everything but name.
Fortunately, DC decided to make an action figure of Duke in his badass, helmeted Robin costume instead of his Yellow Batman Junior jumpsuit.
You may recall that I ranked this costume as my third favorite Robin costume of all time! There’s just something about that awesome helmet/jacket combination that tickles my pinks. It’s a perfect modern Robin costume, though I’ll admit it probably doesn’t go as well with the classic Batman costume as the regular modern Robin costume does. But it was great for Duke Thomas and We Are Robin, so I’mma gonna get it.
I’ll try to find this sweet Batgirl action figure too.

I’m a little disappointed in myself that I don’t yet have a sweet Batgirl of Burnside action figure. I love that comic.
