That Same Old Beauty and the Beast Joke, But Slightly Better
The new Beauty and the Beast movie comes out this weekend, which means all our favorite parody Youtube accounts are covering the old Beauty and the Beast cartoon. I’m feeling kind of lazy in the middle of this snowstorm, so I only watched one of them.
Hooray Honest Trailers! They make that same old classic Stockholm Syndrome joke, but they put it to song, so that’s bully on them!
I’m sure the other parody videos are around the Internet somewhere…

So Is Everybody Else Just Watching The Walking Dead to See Everybody Die?
What is the deal, people? Am I the only person watching The Walking Dead because I like all the characters and want to see them succeed? I watch the zombie show every week and I read a couple different reviews/recaps around the web, and I see a lot of comments and mentions that the only thing anybody cares about is seeing what gruesome main character death comes next.
Is that really why people watch The Walking Dead?!
I don’t know about you, but I watch The Walking Dead because I legitimately like the characters and want to see their stories in this zombie-infested post-apocalypse. I want to see them succeed. I want to see them defeat Negan and make this new Alexandria civilization work.
I like Rick, I like Carl, I like Michonne, I like Eugene, I like Rosita, I especially like Tara and Father Gabriel. Heck, I even like Tobin, that one remaining recognizable Alexandria resident.

Now you know his name
I was very disappointed when they randomly killed Denise and Olivia.
Maybe I’m some kind of outlier here, but I honestly don’t want to see any of the main or supporting characters killed by zombies anytime soon. The fewer gruesome deaths the better, as far as I’m concerned. I just want them to tell the story at hand. The drama of reforging civilization with this specific group of interesting people is far more interesting to me.
Maybe it’s just me.

Edgar Wright is Back Baby, With Baby Driver!
I’m a huge Edgar Wright fan! And at long last, the director will be delivering his new movie, Baby Driver! This is his first flick in years, after he had a falling out with Marvel over Ant-Man. Still would have loved to see his Ant-Man.
There are two Baby Driver trailers to share, both different enough in tone and footage that it’s worth sharing both!
And then there’s the international trailer!
Good, right? These seem pretty fun! Lots of action, music, snappy dialogue; quality Edgar Wright hallmarks.
Baby Driver comes out later this year, and it’s bound to be a blast!

Movie Trailer Monday!
A bunch of great movie trailers came out over the weekend, and like a proper lazy person, I’ve saved them all for today! Let’s kick things off with the new Wonder Woman trailer!
Good times in Wonder Womaning, for sure! Lots of action. Neat flashbacks to her origins. There’s still a lot of hope for this movie.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 3/11/17
Comics! Uhn! Whaa-aat are they good for? Absolutely everything! Say it again! Yep, still reading comics over here. And this week I kind of went overboard on the reviews, since a lot of my favorites came out, like Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Detective Comics and Power Man and Iron Fist!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Nova #4 for another delightful issue! I haven’t been a Nova fan since Annihilation, but oh boy, this new series has been a blast! I’m even enjoying Sam Alexander for the first time ever!
Meanwhile, I was really on a tear about the X-Men this week. I don’t know what came over me, other than a combination of nerd rage and disappointment. The X-Men franchise needs a proper reworking after years of wheel spinning, and I fear that ResurrXion is not the answer.
Comic Reviews: Detective Comics #952, Jessica Jones #6, Justice League of America #2, Mosaic #6, Nova #4, Power Man and Iron Fist #14, Silver Surfer #9 and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #18.
