The Honest Trailer We’ve Been Waiting For

I watched Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey during a visit home to see my parents a couple weeks ago, and it totally holds up! That is a quality film franchise. But, of course, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is much better.

Though after seeing Bogus Journey and it’s happy, uplifting ending, I’ve decided to come out against a third movie. I don’t want it to happen. I don’t care if they get the original actors back, I don’t want to see a third.

Rally behind me, friends! No Bill & Ted 3! No Bill & Ted 3!

My 6 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017

I think we’re all generally looking forward to the year ahead. Maybe it’ll be a horrible mess of evil. That’s definitely one possibility. Maybe it’ll be the year I finally redesign my aging blog. Who can tell? But at least we know that movies will keep coming out.

2017

It’s finally here!

2017 looks like it could be a great year in movies. Last year was apparently a bit of a downer, with only a few really good successes. This year features a ton of superhero movies, which I love, and even more beyond that. Lots of good flicks could be on the horizon.

Join me after the jump to find out the movies I am most looking forward to seeing in 2017! And be sure to let me know your picks in the comments!

Look What I Made!

I had a pretty nice New Year’s Weekend, how about you lot?

Worth it

I’ve got a few solid resolutions for 2017. This is the year I’m finally going to update my blog. I’ve got a good artist friend and I’m determined to get her help designing my own henchman-4-hire character to use in place of Marvel’s character. Plus maybe I’ll even pick a new design for the blog. My anniversary is in the Spring, so maybe by then. I’m also working on some real scripts for some new comic projects, which I’ll definitely share here if I ever get them drawn and created!

It’s gonna be a good year.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 12/31/16

Here we are at last, on the final day of 2016. This accursed year has done much to destroy the human spirit and crush all our hopes and dreams. But I say that dreams never die! I plan on making 2017 the best year ever! And we can start with a nice, big pile of comic book reviews to end out the year.

We’ve got so many comic reviews, too! I had some extra time on my hands this week, so I read and have reviewed a ton of books! We’ve got great comics, like Infamous Iron Man and the new Hulk! We’ve got middling books, like Ghost Rider and Prowler! And we’ve got not quite good books, like Teen Titans!

But Comic Book of the Week goes to a stellar Spider-Woman, as writer Dennis Hopeless shows everyone the pure awesomeness of carefully constructed and executed character drama!

This day, we punch!

The final issue of Civil War II also came out this week, and just as we all feared, it was a bunch of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Captain Marvel and Iron Man duke it out and nothing really comes of it. Tony is taken off the table, Ulysses literally just disappears, solving that crisis, and pretty much every comic has already moved on to their new ongoing storylines anyway. So yeah, this thing was a big stinker.

Comic Reviews: Batgirl #6, Detective Comics #947, Ghost Rider #2, Great Lakes Avengers #3, Hulk #1, Infamous Iron Man #3, Mighty Thor #14, Prowler #3, Spider-Woman #14 and Teen Titans #3.

Kill 20 Minutes On This Insanely Detailed Live Action Futurama Video!

Behold the unending power of fandom! Some chaps at Cinema Relics have gone to all the trouble of creating a live action Futurama with makeup, practical effects and puppetry. Fan-O-Rama awesome and unsettling in equal measure!

This is a Herculean effort of fandom and should be celebrated at all levels. Who would go to such lengths? Who could build such insanely cool and imaginative costumes? Who could so badly dub Leela’s voice?

Either way, this now exists for all of us to enjoy for the rest of time! Hooray!
