6 Thoughts on the Third Season of Daredevil
The Netflix Defenders are in free fall! Within the past week or so, both Iron Fist and Luke Cage have been cancelled! It’s quite the shocker! I always pictured these four shows — along with Daredevil and Jessica Jones — as being a package deal. And does Netflix really cancel shows? Is that how they work?
Whatever the case may be, the third season of Daredevil arrived to remind us all that these shows can be damn good!
Comic Rating: 8/10 – Very Good.
Daredevil remains the standout show of the entire experiment. With the exception of the season 2 finale, I’ve loved everything about the Daredevil show, so I’m quite pleased at another exciting season. Though if I’m being honest, Daredevil isn’t among the best TV of the year for me. It’s fun and exciting, but for me, it falls just under the radar of being must-watch television. Still good though.

Check Out Spider-Man’s New Costume in this Bad Skit!
Spider-Man is going to get a new suit in his upcoming sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. It’s red and black instead of red and blue. I like the red and blue one better.
Anyway, there were a couple leaked photos from set that showed off the new suit, and some candid ones on Instagram. But we got our first real look of the suit in this poorly written and acted skit from Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The suit looks pretty cool, but that skit is just plain bad. Jimmy Kimmel is supposed to have better writers than that. And Tom Holland, oy. Everyone involved can do better.

Hench-Sized Comic Reviews – 10/20/18
Happy New Daredevil Season Weekend, everybody! I’m up to my eyeballs in new Daredevil episodes, and it’s pretty grand. I’ll try to get a review post up next week. But until then, how about some comics? Not many this week, or at least, not as many as I should have read.
We’ve got new Batman, new Runaways and new Mr. & Mrs. X, but Comic Book of the Week goes to the return of Unstoppable Wasp! Love me some Unstoppable Wasp!
Meanwhile, I continue to flake out on reading Thor. I dunno what’s happened! I’ve loved Jason Aaron’s Thor since the beginning, but I think the art and the weak storyline of the revived series turned me off, and then we’ve got this current far-in-the-future storyline. I’ll try to read them someday. I also keep failing at reading Nightwing’s new status quo. I should get into that too.
Comic Reviews: Batman #57, Mr. & Mrs. X #4, Runaways #14 and The Unstoppable Wasp #1.
How Ant-Man and the Wasp Should Have Ended
The How It Should Have Ended people have finally come out with their Ant-Man and the Wasp cartoon, which should have come out on Tuesday! What the heck, guys? You gotta be quicker on the SEO draw! Anyway, watch and enjoy.
Though I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that there are valid reasons why Ant-Man and the Wasp didn’t rush off to help out at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. I mentioned them before, but you gotta remember, the alien attack on New York City lasted all of a half an hour, and then Tony Stark went missing. Then everything else happened in secret in Wakanda.
There’s no way Hank and Hope would let Scott run off chasing alien rumors, and there’s no way Scott would just take the suit and run off again without permission. So it’s perfectly reasonable that Scott and Hope didn’t rush off to help. How would they even get to New York City or Wakanda?

Have You Heard of The Kid Who Would Be King?
I hadn’t heard of this movie/book until the trailer arrived earlier this week. The Kid Who Would Be King is about some modern day ragamuffin finding Excalibur and needing to go all King Arthur on some evil death knights.
Personally, I’m a little tired of ‘chosen one’ stories, but this trailer won me over as the heroic king stuff started to include the kid’s entire class. That was neat. Also, it’s from the same writer/director of Attack the Block, Joe Cornish. Attack the Block is a brilliant take on the alien invasion movie, so I have nothing but faith in this guy. Maybe this will be good!
The Kid Who Would Be King comes out on Feb. 15.
