Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 1/25/25
This was one of those weeks where every single comic I’m reading comes out at the same time. And there are some I’m way behind on, like Scarlet Witch and Fantastic Four, that I really need to dig into and get caught up. But until then, we’ve got some excellent books, including Superman and Wonder Woman!
Comic Book of the Week goes to Absolute Wonder Woman #4 for a perfectly crafted chapter in this already exciting series.
Meanwhile, I’m starting to wind down on Stardew Valley and pick back up Dragon Age: The Veilguard, so that’s exciting. I’m enjoying the new season of Severance, but didn’t really care for the second season of The Silo. I’m also reading Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, finally, and it’s as good as everyone says.
Comic Reviews: Absolute Wonder Woman #4, Power Rangers Prime #3 Superman #22, Ultimate Spider-Man #13, Uncanny X-Men #9 and Wonder Woman #17.

More than a week has passed since the final episode of Skeleton Crew, and it’s sad how little of an impact this show has had on pop culture. I guess not a lot of people were watching? Which is a damn shame, because Skeleton Crew is a great show that had a lot of fun in the Star Wars universe! I had a blast!
TV Show Rating: 9/10 – Great
Like everyone else, I find Star Wars TV to be hit and miss. I haven’t outright hated any show, but wasn’t too impressed with Ahsoka or Obi-Wan Kenobi. I had no idea what to expect with Skeleton Crew when it was announced and teased for years; I barely paid any attention. But that first trailer piqued my interest and I’m happy to have watched every episode week-by-week. This is one of the good ones!
Join me after the jump for my full thoughts/review of Skeleton Crew. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the whole season. And feel free to share your own in the comments below!

So today probably marks the end of our country and possibly world as we know it, but at least we have a new episode of Deep Space Discounts to enjoy. And that’s what I’ve got to cling to if I’m going to make it through life from now on. It’s a good episode.
Good episode indeed. Good cartoon. Good work all around by DeepBlueInk. Cling to whatever happiness you can, folks, it’s all downhill from here!
Stay tuned for more episodes and check out merch and other whatnots at his website.

Now is Tom Green’s Time
Do you remember Tom Green? That wild and wacky comedian from…I wanna say the 90s? I was never a big Tom Green guy, because I definitely wasn’t cool enough to watch MTV when I was a teen. But I was fully aware of him. Who wasn’t at the time?
Anyway, seemingly at random yesterday, I stumbled upon all the trailers for, like, three different Tom Green projects coming to Amazon Prime. You’d think one would be enough, but nope…three. Which actually kind of fits with his humor, I think.
There’s a new documentary: This is the Tom Green Documentary.
Then there’s a series based around the same facts as the documentary, called Tom Green Country.
And then he seems to be doing a new stand-up special about his life in the country, Tom Green: I Got a Mule!
So if you were a big Tom Green fan or were wondering whatever happened to him, you’re going to have more than enough viewing options over the next few weeks, it would seem. I might actually watch some of these. They look pretty fun.

Daredevil: Born Again is Coming Soon!
Daredevil: Born Again is coming to Disney+ on March 4! And that’s according to it’s first official trailer, which arrived yesterday! Don’t read this, watch the trailer!
This looks super exciting. Just like everybody else, I’m very much loving the idea of bringing back the Netflix Daredevil show with more seasons. Charlie Cox and his pals are just so perfect as the Daredevil cast, and his few appearances in Spider-Man and She-Hulk have only whet the whistle. We need him back for reals!
Hopefully Born Again lives up to all the hype. The fans know exactly what they want, and surely Disney can’t be oblivious to that. And while you can’t always just give fans what they want…this is an expensive TV show we’re talking about, with a lot of the MCU’s future hanging on its success. Are Disney and Marvel going to do right by the fans? Or are they going to change things in an attempt to be different?
We’ll find out when Daredevil: Born Again comes to Disney+ on March 4!
