Multiple Man is on Krakoa…and is Instantly Killed!
Welp, I finally got my Madrox sighting in Dawn of X! Jamie Madrox the Multiple Man, my favorite character in all of comics, has made his first appearance as part of the big X-Men relaunch in X-Force #4.
Where he’s promptly killed. And is shown to be wearing his dumb original costume.
Thankfully, that’s just a duplicate. There’s dialogue in the rest of the issue stating that Jamie Prime is still alive. We don’t get to see him, but I’ll take what I can get. Multiple Man is back!
But seriously, what’s with the old costume? When Multiple Man was leader of X-Factor, with Peter David writing, that comic ran for 100+ issues! When was the last time an X-Men comic ran consistently with the same creator for that long? PAD made that comic work, and Multiple Man is a hugely popular character!
Why the hell would you ignore the past decade of Jamie Madrox character development by putting him back in that old costume? And why keep killing him?!
I’m just not allowed to have nice things. Though this issue also mentions Shortpack, another favorite obscure mutant of mine who didn’t make my list, but is fun to see regardless!

Spider-Woman is Getting a Hip New Costume, Again!
Once upon a time in 2014, Marvel announced that classic comic book character Spider-Woman was getting a hip, new costume redesign. I’d never been much of a Spider-Woman fan, but I loved the redesign and decided to write about it for this humble blog.
Little did I know that the ensuing Spider-Woman comic would not only become one of my favorite comics of the decade (full list coming next week!), but that this humble blog would get quoted on the cover! I loved that Spider-Woman comic!
So my hopes are getting even higher now that Marvel has revealed yet another hip, new costume redesign for the upcoming Spider-Woman comic!
I like it, though not as much as the previous redesign.
It’s sleek and cool, and very modern. But I’m torn about the red webbing design on her shoulders.
That’s very clearly a Spider-Man costume thing, and Spider-Woman has never been beholden to Spider-Man when it comes to costumes. She has her own iconic look and color scheme. It’s especially troublesome because a black bodysuit with the webbing design on the shoulders is Miles Morales’ look.
Nitpicks aside, I think it’s a strong look overall, and I’m definitely looking forward to her new series even more now! Here’s hoping Roger is still part of her story!

6 Thoughts on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out this week and I wanted to make the occasion with a Star Wars List of Six. I’ve done some great ones in the past, like my list of crazy alien Jedi or my list of other famous wookiees. But for this week’s List of Six, I’ve decided to give my review of another big recent Star Wars property: the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order!

Comic Rating: 7/10 – Good.
I’ll probably also review Rise of Skywalker and even The Mandalorian soon, so look out for those. But now I want to delve into Fallen Order, the best Star Wars game in quite some time, and hopefully the herald of some new games going forward. It’s an original story with original characters, set in a very familiar universe. I was wary about the game based on the trailers. And while my concerns weren’t overcome, I still had fun with Fallen Order. It was a quick game, I beat it over two rental weekends, and now it’s time to be super late in my review!
Join me after the jump for my thoughts on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Expect some SPOILERS for the game in the review. And feel free to share your own review and thoughts in the comments!
There’s Gonna Be a New Top Gun Movie
Top Gun: Maverick is going to be the next movie franchise to get a sequel several decades too late. It worked for Jumanji, but it didn’t work for Men in Black. At least Top Gun has brought Tom Cruise back.
Will it be any good? Who can say. Next year is going to be packed with interesting movies. I was never a huge fan of the original Top Gun. But this is a pretty good trailer. It makes the case for this movie to exist. So let’s keep an open mind and give Top Gun: Maverick a try!
The film comes out on June 26.

The Witcher TV Show Arrives on Friday!
December has been a pretty amazing month for television. New seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Expanse have already arrived, and later this month we’ll get a new season of Lost in Space. I’m in TV heaven! But most excitedly, The Witcher TV show arrives on Friday on Netflix!
I’m a huge fan of The Witcher video games, even though the show won’t have anything to do with the games. Chronologically, the show is set years, if not decades, before the games. And I haven’t read the books.
But The Witcher is an exciting world full of exciting characters, and the show looks to be truly high grade. I have my hopes high! The Witcher comes out on Dec. 20.
