The Batman Still Looks Darn Good!

A new trailer for The Batman arrived yesterday like a late Christmas present. Just out of the blue, poof! New Batman trailer. I guess that’s how the world works these days, always in mysterious ways. It’s another great trailer, this one showing off a lot more Catwoman and Riddler. In face, this is probably a trailer to avoid if you want to start avoiding any and all spoilers. Some plot points of the movie do get spoiled in this trailer, I would say.

I think The Batman is my most anticipated movie of the upcoming year. I know Marvel has a lot of good films coming out — like Thor: Love and Thunder — but The Batman is a new, darker, grittier take on the Dark Knight. And I like a good, fresh take on Batman. It’s just an innate feeling, possibly in all of us. So I’m excited to see how they pull this off, and if perhaps we’ll get a new, more open Batman movie franchise going forward.

You also have the option of watching this trailer in glorious 4K on Vimeo.

The Batman arrives in theaters on March 3.

Let’s Celebrate the Gremlins (Animated)!

It’s still the Christmas season, so how about we celebrate the Gremlins? Some of their movies took place during Christmas, right? I haven’t seen a Gremlins movie in a dog’s age. But our favorite movie look animating YouTuber — Tell It Animated — spent the time to animate all the funky Gremlins! So let’s celebrate!

I love this guy. Gremlins is a fun choice.

As always, my recommendation is Robin. There’s plenty of movie and animation Robins to animate. And everybody loves a new Batman video, right?

Speaking of Gremlins, have you ever seen that classic Key and Peele sketch about Gremlins 2? That thing is so much fun!

Here’s That Doctor Strange 2 Trailer!

As we all know, the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was the post-credits treat at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. And it was neat! Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long for the trailer to arrive on the internet for all our viewing pleasure.

I think it looks cool. About as cool and great as any Marvel trailer. The movie looks trippy, America Chavez is cool, and Baron Mordo looks awesome! Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange both look great. What else is there to say? Bring on more Marvel movies!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters on May 6.

6 Thoughts on Spider-Man: No Way Home

Whoo baby, what a movie! I’ll admit to being mostly lukewarm about Marvel’s superhero movies this year, despite liking all of them. But now we have Spider-Man: No Way Home and I’m reminded by Marvel Studios is such a powerhouse of a production company! I’m reminded by Marvel Studios is so damn smart when it comes to utilizing their properties and bringing the very best movies to bear on the big screen. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a superhero movie marvel.

Movie Rating: 10/10 – Fantastic!

I cannot heap enough praise on this film. I have been watching Spider-Man movies all of my adult life. The first Tobey Maguire Spidey movie came out after my freshman year of college, and I haven’t missed a Spider-Man movie in the theaters since. And I’ve enjoyed them all. I even liked the Amazing Spider-Man movies. And I especially loved Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With No Way Home, these filmmakers have done the seemingly impossible. They have taken all of our nostalgia, all of our expectations, all of our hopes and dreams, and have put together a truly spectacular movie, and a truly amazing Spider-Man movie on top of that.

Join me after the jump for my full review and all my thoughts on Spider-Man: No Way Home. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the entire movie and some other Marvel stuff. And please feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments below!

Vikings and Axes and Movies, Oh My!

A trailer arrived yesterday for an upcoming film called The Northman. I’d never heard of this movie before yesterday, but I like trailers, and this looks pretty crazy. Crazy good? Time will tell.

Crazy crazy, at least that’s for sure. Looks like an artsy take on Braveheart. Or maybe it’ll just be straight action? I dunno. Perhaps we’ll find out when The Northman arrives in theaters on April 22.
