It’s X-Men Weekend!
X-Men: Days of Future Past is getting insanely good reviews! I’m getting more and more excited, but I’m not going to see it until Saturday night, so somehow I just have to hold on. I can bide my time with Honest Trailers! They wrapped up all three original X-Men movies into one parody!
I think my favorite X-Men film remains X-Men: First Class. But here’s hoping Days of Future Past blows it out of the water.
First Big Hero Six Teaser Teases Nothing!
The first trailer for the first Marvel/Disney animated mash-up hit the Internet today, and while the animation looks great, the trailer really is just a cute little tease.
Big Hero 6 is the first collaboration between Marvel Comics and Disney’s animation studio, which produced Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph. Rather than make an animated movie about one of Marvel’s more popular superheroes, Disney picked Big Hero 6, a relatively unknown team of Japanese superheroes. The little boy in the trailer is probably Hiro Takachiho, if the movie bothers to use the actual Big Hero 6 characters from the comic. Who knows! not many details have been released, and the trailer doesn’t release anything more…but it sure is adorable!
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is a Mouthful
I get that sub-titles are all the rage in superhero movies these days, that simply numbering new movies in ascending order is too passe. But jeez, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is just a bit of a mouthful!
Warner Bros and DC Comics revealed the full title today on Facebook, announcing that principle photography has begun and blah, blah, blah.
The title, man, the title! What is up with that title? We’re approaching X2: X-Men United levels of bad titlery. First of all, the ‘V’ in the middle is a real stopping point when pronouncing the whole thing. Why not a ‘VS’? ‘Versus’ is so much more fun to say than ‘V’. Then this ‘Dawn of Justice’ stuff? Who needs it? I get that DC is building a Justice League with this movie, but we didn’t need the subtitle. If it was Man of Steel: Dawn of Justice, maybe. But ‘Batman vs. Superman’ is a freaking awesome movie title! Why not just go with that?! How is that not infinitely cooler?
6 Things I Want to See in an X-Force Movie
Initial reviews for X-Men: Days of Future Past are looking pretty good, so maybe this movie will wipe away any apprehensions I may have about the X-Men film franchise these days. I doubted X-Men: First Class, but quickly came to love it. Perhaps FOX really does have the X-Men’s best interest at heart.
So let’s let the apprehension of the proposed X-Force flick begin!
We haven’t heard much about the X-Force movie, only that there’s a script in the works. For those of you who don’t know, X-Force is kind of the rebellious younger sibling of the X-Men. Whereas the X-Men are this big, family-like team of noble superheroes, X-Force is the rougher, meaner, grittier squad that tries to be more proactive in their crime fighting. If FOX wants some X-spin-offs, then X-Force is definitely a great place to start.

I Love the New Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer In All The Ways a Human Can Love a Thing
This year has been one great movie after another, and it looks like we might end the season with one of the best yet! Check out this new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer!
I just…I just love all the things about that trailer! The characters, the humor, the dialogue, the visuals, and especially the music. Everything just looks like so much fun! I can’t believe we still have to sit through the wastelands of June and July before Guardians comes out at the start of August. It’s going to be too long of a wait!
Also, it’s come to my attention that Disney seems to be taking down each and every Youtube version of this trailer for some evil, sinister reason. If for some reason the above video doesn’t play, you can watch this version!
