6 Thoughts on Obi-Wan Kenobi (Review)
I wasn’t as super-hyped about the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show as other Star Wars fans seemed to be. I was just never a big Obi-Wan fan in general. But I still love Star Wars and I’m going to watch whatever shows they put out. More power to them. Now that Obi-Wan has come and gone, I felt it was all just generally fine. Nothing particularly special, as far as I’m concerned.
TV Show Rating: 7/10 – Good
In the end, I feel like Obi-Wan Kenobi was just a simple, straight forward adventure that this hermit Jedi gets to go on. It doesn’t really alter anything we know about the character or the era of the Star Wars timeline. I actually think it adds some unneeded complications that will need smoothing over in all our minds. But I was never bored, and there were definitely some cool moments. It’s definitely not a bad show. I just don’t think it was anything special.

Word came down from Hollywood on high last week that Marvel was working on a Thunderbolts movie. It’s been rumored for years, and it’s too hot a property to dismiss, so I’m all in favor of this happening. There are enough characters and villains from throughout the past decade of the MCU to put a really good anti-hero/anti-villain team together.
The biggest question is: what kind of movie is this? In the comics, the Thunderbolts were a team of villains posing as heroes, who slowly came around to the idea that being a superhero was awesome. It was one of the biggest twists in comic book history. But with acting announcements and the way Hollywood works, it would be nearly impossible to pull off a similar twist. So I think an MCU Thunderbolts should be the equivalent of the Dark Avengers. Some either villainous or anti-hero characters brought together to fill the void left by the actual Avengers, perhaps by Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. And maybe they’re used for nefarious purposes, but slowly come around to the idea that they should do more good.

I’m still reeling from the pretty horrendous plane rides I had on vacation a couple of weeks ago, so why not do a List of Six about flying? Fat guys are not meant for coach seats. And don’t blame me! My family paid for First Class, but they canceled our flight and bumped us back to coach. Anyway, flying comic book characters? Everybody can fly. But not everybody can fly with big, pretty bird wings!
Lots of comic book characters also have wings. But a special few of those characters only really have wings. Sure, they may have some additional powers on the side, but I’ve gathered together a group of comic superheroes whose main things is big, beautiful wings. I have nothing against characters whose main power is wings. I bet it’s a neat power.
So join me after the jump to celebrate comic book superheroes whose biggest and best deal is having wings!

I was off last week on a trip to California for a cousin’s wedding. It was a fun trip, book-ended by some pretty horrendous flying experiences. I’m trying to think positively, though, so I’ve decided to do a List of Six based on superheroes in California! There aren’t as many as you think.
Famously, almost all of Marvel Comics superhero antics take place in New York City. It’s where the Marvel Comics offices were based, so they wrote and drew about what they knew. But they also had to acknowledge that other superheroes existed in the rest of the world. And, occasionally, Marvel has paid a visit to the West Coast to check out some superhero antics on the other side of this great country. Let’s explore their weird history, shall we?
Join me after the jump for some pretty unique and eclectic superhero teams that Marvel placed in California.

The LEGO Optimus Prime was released today and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. This is a set that’s existed in my wildest dreams, something I mentioned in a LEGO want list years ago. A LEGO Transformer that actually transforms? The future is now!
But Optimus Prime should just be the start. I don’t see why LEGO can’t do a whole line of these Transformers. It’s going to cost some money for the licensing, but this is a world we all want to inhabit. And I just so happen to have a list of Transformers I’d like to see turned into LEGO. Is this also a list of my favorite Transformers? Yeah, maybe.
Join me after the jump for six Transformers that need to follow Optimus Prime in getting big, fancy, fully transformable LEGO sets!
