The Top 6 Superheroes I Want to Write

Time to give myself a blog birthday present! Yesterday was my birthday, and I shared with everyone the exciting news that I’ve finally started work on a new, self-published (for now) comic book project, Cover Bard. I can’t wait to get this comic up and running! Of course, the ultimate goal for a fella like me is to use this indie comic career to get hired to write superhero comics for Marvel and/or DC. So how about a List of Six of the exciting superheroes I’m hoping to write for someday?

Everything I do is part of my grand plan to write Multiple Man

I have fully come to accept that my dream might never happen. I’m not a spring chicken anymore, for one thing. And I’m not at all convinced that I’m such a god among writers that I need to be published. I’m just gonna tell stories and make indie comics and hopefully, someday, I’ll get that invite to write for the pros. No harm in dreaming. And should that day come, I know exactly what characters I’ll pitch for. I’ve got some ideas jotted down already, and other characters I would just love to write.

Join me after the jump for the random smattering of comic book superheroes I hope to write professionally someday. Getting my name in the credits of any of these comics would be a lifelong dream fulfilled!

6 Things I Want to See in Mass Effect 4

Recently, I completed the epic adventure is that is the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, combining the first three Mass Effect games and all of their DLC. Way back when the games first came out, I played through the first two and then never bothered with the third game. There was such a negative backlash that I simply didn’t play it. But time heals all wounds, and a nice sale on the Legendary Edition had me back in the saddle as Commander Shepherd.

There’s this teaser image/trailer

What does the future hold for the Mass Effect video game series? Does anybody have any idea? Two years ago, we got a tiny teaser that the game was in the works. It’s been radio silence since. I’m one of the few people who seems to have actually enjoyed Mass Effect: Andromeda, but the developers stopped bothering with that game almost immediately. So this list is just going to be a bunch of random speculation and thoughts about what this hypothetical game might contain.

Join me after the jump as I reflect on my Legendary Edition playthrough and offer some hope for the future.

6 Things in Movies and TV That Don’t Bug Me

Watch out, people, I have opinions on the internet. It would just be safer if you backed the heck up and didn’t come near me as I express these opinions in this carefully cultivated listicle on my personal corner of the information superhighway. Chief among those opinions is that I really, really enjoyed the first episode of the new She-Hulk: Attorney at Law show on Disney+.

Cheerio

The internet’s response to the She-Hulk show is what has prompted this list, though not every entry is going to relate back to the new MCU comedy. I’ve just seen too many complaints — as well as too many clapbacks against those complaints — and I’ve decided to express my frustrations through blogging. I have scoured my own headspace and found a bunch of things in movies and TV that seem to really rile people up, but which have zero effect on me.

Join me after the jump as I whine and whinge about dumb things other people complain about on the internet.

6 Surprise Cameos I Want to See in She-Hulk

The She-Hulk TV show debuts this week and I am super excited! The trailers look great, the sense of humor should be fun, and I’m very much looking forward to the courtroom stuff. I love the idea that the showrunners are making a legal show first and a superhero show second. That is exactly what I want to watch! I am also looking forward to some wild character cameos.

TV bound

The trailers for She-Hulk have already confirmed Daredevil, Frog-Man, the Porcupine, Man-Bull and more. It looks like they’re digging deep into Marvel Comics to find some truly outrageous characters to need legal help. I think that’s hilarious and should be a lot of fun! And I sure as heck know a lot of deep lore Marvel characters who I’d like to see make random appearances in a show like this, especially if they’re big cameos that will shake the Marvel Cinematic Universe to its core!

Join me after the jump for a random smattering of characters — some rumored, some plucked from thin air — who I would like to see randomly show up in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

6 Things I Want to See From DC’s New 10-Year Plan

Last week saw major waves in the world of superhero entertainment when Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav struck down the already completed Batgirl movie, refusing to even let it air on HBO Max. I was disappointed, because I would have gladly watched a Batgirl movie, even if I didn’t have high hopes. Then immediately after the cancellation, Zaslav announced a bold 10-year plan for DC properties moving forward, with him expecting to turn all DC superhero movies into blockbusters.

Peacemaker reboot incoming

Now that the dust has settled, I’ve decided to share my thoughts, hopes and dreams on this 10-year plan. I am an avowed Marvel fanboy. I still love everything Marvel Studios is putting out and I’m not experiencing that superhero fatigue at all. I’m still in awe that all these comic book characters are getting these great shows and movies. I’m open to liking DC stuff, but Zack Snyder’s visions definitely didn’t work on me in the long run. This new 10-year plan could mean all sorts of different things going forward.

Join me after the jump for my ideas for this 10-year plan and what I hope to see happen. And please feel free to share your own hopes and dreams for DC in the comments.
