Invincible Season 2 is Gonna Rock
I’ve read the entire Invincible comic book series, and it’s all pretty great. So I have high hopes that the cartoon on Amazon is going to make it all the way through the series. Keep hopes high! I already have faith after they took the opening chapters and turned them into that excellent first season.
A full trailer for season 2 was released at New York Comic-Con this past weekend.
Looks great to me! I recognize some of the new characters, though not all. I recognized some of the moments, though not all. So it should still be something of a surprise for me. Looking forward to this one, for sure!
Invincible returns to Amazon Prime on Nov. 3.

I Don’t Like Anything About Wish
It’s one of those Mondays where I don’t have anything to share, but I want to post something, so I’m digging up this trailer from a week or two ago for the upcoming animated Disney movie Wish. I don’t like Wish. I don’t like these trailers. I don’t like the characters, the jokes or, especially, the talking goat. Alan Tudyk is a national treasure…but man, I hate his talking goat.
The premise seems OK…but also really crummy. Gah. I don’t like how I hate everything about this trailer. The main character, Asha, seems like she was written by committee looking to make the human equivalent of ‘plucky’. The villain seems pretty dull. I’m not entirely sure what’s even happening in the story. And the talking goat is such a ‘talking animal sidekick’ cliche to the max, and I hate the talking animal sidekick cliche with a passion.
But it’s Monday, and I wanted to share something, so mission accomplished. Wish is coming to theaters sometime around Thanksgiving.

6 Mutants to Join the Ninja Turtles in High School
I very much enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. It was fun, funny, full of energy and life, and was just plain cool all around. So I’m very much excited for the announced sequel, as well as the announced two-season cartoon on Nickelodeon! It’s going to be called Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and will serve as a bridge between the two movies.
Based on how Mutant Mayhem ended, I’m pretty much assuming that the new cartoon series will feature the Turtles in high school. That’s a great premise, and one I don’t think we’ve seen before. All the young voice actors from Mutant Mayhem are returning for the Turtles, and it should be a blast to see them as real teenagers in a real high school, just like they wanted! Should be a fun watch. And what would be even more fun? Filling the high school with other teenage mutants from the wider world of the Turtles!
So join me after the jump as I rattle off some of my favorite old school TMNT mutants who deserve a chance to step up and being recognized in cartoon form, at long last!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are hot right now. Mutant Mayhem didn’t blow up the box office, but the toy sales were through the roof, and there should be more on the way. To celebrate, the internet hero at Tell It Animated has done a video on live action Ninja Turtle appearances! It’s madness.
As always, this is a mini-masterpiece. This dude found his niche and I hope he’s having a lot of fun with it. And consider me on board for a sequel video of the various animated Ninja Turtles. That one should be fun!
And, as always, do Robin!

Check Out Rick and Morty’s New Voices
The next season of Rick and Morty comes out next month, and with it new voices for the main characters. Original voice actor and co-creator Justin Roiland was revealed to be a super creep, so he’s out. They hired sound-alikes to do the voices of Rick and Morty and you can check out how well they do in this new trailer.
I think they’re fine. Sometimes you can’t tell there’s a difference, and sometimes you really can. I don’t think it’s going to bother me. I’ll definitely still watch and enjoy the new season. I’ve started watching Solar Opposites with the new voice, and it’s fine. We’ll all get through this.
Rick and Morty season 7 comes to Cartoon Network on Oct. 15.
