A Quick New WandaVision Trailer
I am very excited about WandaVision coming to Disney+ on Jan. 15! That’s less than three weeks away! The Marvel Studios TV shows are finally right around the corner! I wonder how shocked the Marvel and Disney people are that WandaVision is going to be the first one out of the gate. At least it looks great!
Then we’ll have to wait until March for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but I’m sure that will also be worth the wait. These shows could be the future of television! I know I’m excited for each and every one of them!

Our First Look at WandaVision is Perfectly Trippy
The pandemic really did a number on all those awesome Marvel TV shows we were expecting. Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been delayed until next year. But it seems we’ll still be getting WandaVision before the end of 2020. In fact, here’s the first full trailer for this trippy show!
Looks amazing! Weird, trippy and all manner of nutso, this trailer looks totally perfect for the show they’ve promised. I can’t wait!

First Look at the Marvel TV Shows!
Last night’s Super Bowl brought with it the prerequisite bunch of nifty commercials. But I’m mostly interested in the new movie trailers and TV spots, and last night was a real treat! Because Marvel delivered the first look at their upcoming live action TV shows on Disney+! Finally, something else to watch to justify the Disney+ subscription!
Behold, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki!
Man, those look great! They look like real movies. I am getting quite excited for what Marvel Studios has in store for us! And Falcon and WandaVision are coming before the end of the year, so that’s super sweet!
Meanwhile, we also got a quick new TV spot for the Black Widow movie, which comes out in May.
All we’re missing is the trailer for The Eternals, but that doesn’t come out until November and Marvel doesn’t like to overload their trailer allotment.
But still, at least the Super Bowl was good for something this year!

Was It All So That Tom King Could Make This One Joke?
Writer Tom King’s Heroes in Crisis came to an end today and I didn’t much care for it. I’ll have my full review up with my regular reviews on Saturday, but there was one joke buried deep in Heroes in Crisis #9 that made me wonder if this whole thing existed so that Tom King could tell the one joke…
So basically, Heroes in Crisis has involved a ton of DC superheroes undergoing therapy, which has involved the heroes talking to the “camera” about their problems. These confessionals have been a major part of the story all along, offering real insight into some of DC’s most and least popular heroes and villains.
This final issue sees a whole host more superheroes do the confessional. The message being that the events of Heroes in Crisis have prompted more heroes to be willing to go to therapy, so we see a ton more confessionals. Each hero gets a single confessional panel this issue, with dozens of new superheroes getting a moment.
Including Red Tornado.

Review: Captain America: Civil War
It doesn’t get much better than this. And I say that fully believing that Marvel can go even bigger, better and more exciting. If after more than ten movies deep into their film slate, Marvel can still produce something as amazing as Captain America: Civil War, then the future remains as bright as ever. This is the epic, spectacular, big bombast superhero movie that Marvel has been building towards all these years.
Movie Rating: 9/10 – Great.
Captain America: Civil War is a glorious mix of spectacle and drama, combining some of the most touching and important character work in the entire franchise with quite possibly the greatest bout of superhero action to ever grace the silver screen. The centerpiece ‘war’ between heroes at the abandoned airport is worth the price of admission alone. It’s worth of price of admission to every Marvel movie we’ve seen so far, building on almost each and every film to instill real emotional heft to these characters and their punches.
When Captain American, Iron Man and their allies face off in Civil War, there is real history behind it. We’ve seen the previous movies. We’ve seen the friendships and rivalries grow and build and strain. We’ve seen Steve Rogers and Tony Stark get testy in The Avengers. We’ve watched Black Widow’s character arc from the sidelines of other movies. We’ve seen Ant-Man consider calling the Avengers for help. This has been a journey.
Civil War is a movie for Marvel fans, for the people who have seen all their movies and probably held mini-marathons to gear up for this new one. It’s not ashamed of that focus, and it shouldn’t be. Marvel is producing a masterpiece on a scale never before imagined, and they’re pulling it off with such skill and excitement that I almost feel bad for other movies.
Like, do any of the previous Spider-Man movies even matter anymore? Batman v. Superman surely doesn’t.
