Even More Video Game Trailers!

A bunch more video game trailers came out of E3 this weekend, and I’m the sort of guy to share them all on a lazy Tuesday!

Like, how about Fallout 76?

Looks like fun! I’m always down for a new Fallout game. Word has it this is going to be some kind of multiplayer survival game. Not sure how that will change things with the normally single player series, but we’ll see. I’ll probably be down either way.

Then we got a trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which will take place in Ancient Greece.

I love me some Ancient Greece…but really only the mythology. And I doubt the new assassin is going to fight the chimera or ride Pegasus. He’s probably just going to fight Templars, like normal.

Still, I very much enjoyed Assassin’s Creed: Origins, so I’ll probably give this one a shot as well.

There was also another trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2!

Since I did go ahead and buy that Playstation 4, this game is on my radar again. I still don’t think it has anything to do with the original Beyond Good and Evil, but whatever. They can make any game they want and tangentially connect it to any previous game they want as far as I can. Just make it good!

Man, there were so many trailers I don’t have the time or energy to share them all. These are just the games I’m most interested in that I saw. There’s also a Resident Evil 2 remake, some new footage from that upcoming Spider-Man game, and there was even footage of The Last of Us 2 — though I didn’t watch that, because I have yet to play the first The Last of Us. It’s sitting on my desk right now, right next to my new Playstation 4. I’m building myself up for it.

Some Video Game News!

I haven’t had much I felt like writing about this week, but it’s Friday and I want to get something up, so how about some video game news?

The biggest news this week was the announcement of Fallout 76, the newest game in the much-loved Fallout series. I’m a huge fan and am excited about this game.

Of course, I’ve also heard that it isn’t a traditional single player Fallout game. Io9 tells us that it’s going to be a survival MMORPG, which kind of sucks. I’m not sure if I’m as interested knowing there will be other people involved. Those people are weird!

The world has also been introduced to Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which is going to be set in Ancient Greece.

I think I’m more hopeful about this one. I thoroughly enjoyed Assassin’s Creed: Origins last year, after skipping several subpar games. The Ancient Egypt setting was phenomenal.

Of course, Ancient Greece sounds a lot like Ancient Rome, of which we’ve seen a lot. Or we’ve seen some Rome, I dunno. The point is, there were plenty of other historical time period options, is what I’m saying. I’m going to remain cautiously optimistic here.

We’ll know more about both games — and hopefully plenty of others — at E3 in a couple weeks.

Fallout 4 is a Wanderer

Fallout 4 is right around the corner, people! I may still be buried in the new DLC for Witcher 3 (it’s awesome), but I have been suffering from a case of sequelitis for years! And 4 is a bigger number than 3!

Good trailer! And good times! Anybody else getting excited for Fallout 4? I was king of the wasteland in the previous two games and can’t wait!

Literal Trailers are Back!

It’s been a year since Internet comedian Tobuscus made one of his awesome Literal Trailers, and I’d all but given up hope that any more were coming. But I was browsing Youtube yesterday and stumbled upon the fact that he’s made three in the past month!

Fallout 4 Will Soon Be Upon Us

I can still remember the day I randomly decided to give Fallout 3 a try. My friend Alyssa had been a huge fan of the entire franchise, and was excited to grab the new game. Well I had some money to burn and an undying love of video games, so I randomly picked up a copy.

I will never look back! From Fallout 3 to New Vegas to Elder Scrolls: Skyrim to everything else Bethesda Game Studios is going to produce, I will be there.

Especially for Fallout 4, unveiled today!

That game looks gorgeous! It’s like a bigger, more detailed, more amazing Fallout 3. It’s the same post-apocalypse, a similar vault dweller, but everything else looks amazing! Airships! Massive cities! More old-timey music! Ron Perlman!

And it’s going to be set in Boston! I know some friends of mine who are going to be very happy for that!

No release date in the video, but one hopes it’s after I can upgrade my PC with a better graphics card.
