Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/22/25

Here we are, another week, another batch of comics. And they’re mostly good! There’s no point in even hiding the fact that we get the second Batman/Deadpool crossover this week!

Comic Book of the Week goes to Batman/Deadpool #1 because it more than lives up to the excitement.

No point in not bringing it up

Meanwhile, I beat both Ghost of Yotei and Dispatch, both of which were super fun games. Glad to have played them both. Now I’m looking for something new to play and that will last me until next November. I’ve been binging through all five seasons of You’re the Worst for the past week. Great show. And I’m considering when to go see the second Wicked movie…

Double meanwhile, the campaign is still ongoing for LobStar, the new comic made by my buddies at Very Big Comics. They’ve hit their goal, so if you jump on now, you’re guaranteed to get a comic! They’re raising bonus money now to try to fund some additional chapters of the story to go out to everybody. Check out their Kickstarter!

Comic Reviews: Batman/Deadpool #1, Captain America #5, Power Rangers Prime #12 and Wonder Woman #27.

Chloe Troast Did a Bit on YouTube

I want to not rely on posting movie trailers so much, but I’m also very lazy about digging up other stuff to post and/or write about. I’m a busy/lazy guy! Fortunately, sometimes I just randomly find stuff in my regular web surfing. Like, former SNL player Chloe Troast has done a silly YouTube bit.

I don’t watch SNL, but I definitely watch some of the clips on YouTube on the Sunday after. And Troast had some really funny bits here and there. Shame she was let go. So I’m genuinely happy to see her doing more comedy stuff. Good for her!

Looking forward to more. Could this be the next Between Two Ferns? more power to Chloe Troast!

Check Your Theaters for Wake Up Dead Man!

The next mystery film in the Knives Out series will come to select theaters next week, so check your selection theaters to see if you’re one of them! I was able to see Glass Onion in the theater and that was a hoot, so I’m going to keep my eyes very peeled and my fingers crossed for Wake Up Dead Man.

Until then, here’s a new trailer.

Looks good to me! Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig have made an excellent series of mystery movies, and I can’t wait to see the newest one! So here’s hoping at least one of my local theaters has the film. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait for the Netflix release, which won’t be terrible, but won’t be nearly as much fun.

Wake Up Dead Man comes to select theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and then will be on Netflix on Dec. 12.

More Fallout is Right Around the Corner

A new, fuller trailer for the second season of Fallout randomly arrived today and I’m excited to share. The first season was a dream of awesomeness and adaptation, and I’m so excited that the world has embraced this show.

Second season looks great! New Vegas! Deathclaw! Vaulties! All sorts of goodies and goodness and character development and progression. Really good look at everything to come. And we don’t have to wait long!

Fallout returns to Amazon Prime on Dec. 17.

Bat-Fam is Gonna Be Weird as Hell

Bat-Fam is a new Batman cartoon coming to Amazon Prime today. It’s a spin-off of the Merry Little Batman cartoon from a few years ago, which I didn’t watch. It’s about Batman as a dad, with little Damian Wayne as Batboy. It is what it is! And now it gets a whole cartoon with a whole wacky Batman family of characters, like Crazy Uncle Manbat.

Looks crazy. Looks weird as hell. But it also looks perfect? Like, I’m glad Batman cartoons are willing to go in this direction. Get weird with it. Get crazy. Get funny. Whatever you wanna do, go ahead and do it with Bat-Fam. Maybe I will give this one a watch.

Bat-Fam should already be available on Amazon Prime!
