The Gamer Girl & Vixen Kickstarter Is Live!
The time is finally here to pre-order your copy of the Gamer Girl & Vixen graphic novel! As many of you henchies know, I’ve been working on my own self-published comic book for a few years now. Gamer Girl & Vixen is the story of two LGBTQ super villains who fall in love on all the wrong rooftops. I co-wrote the comic with my writing partner, Kristi McDowell, with art by Gemma Moody and lettering by Taylor Esposito.
Click here to visit the Kickstarter and order your copy!
Seriously, if you’re making comics, hire a professional letterer. They make all the difference!
We will be running the campaign for the entire month of April. The book costs $25, and comes with a personalized ‘Thank You’ written on a collectible Gamer Girl & Vixen postcard. And if I know you’re one of my readers, I can send you a special Henchman-4-Hire prize!
So head on over to my Kickstarter page and see it for yourself! There’s a link to read the first issue for free, to see whether or not you’ll like the comic. And if you order the printed graphic novel and let me know that you’re a henchie, I’ll send you something special when we ship the comics later this year!
Thank you, everybody, for your support through all this!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/2/16
Not a very big week for comics, I’m afraid — unless you count the launch of the Gamer Girl & Vixen Kickstarter today! Gamer Girl & Vixen is my own, self-published comic, and we’re trying to raise money to put out a 100-page graphic novel this year! Click the link and come check out the project. We’re even letting everyone read the first issue for free to see if you’ll like it or not! Any henchies interested in pre-ordering my comic are much appreciated!
In the regular comics world, this was a quiet week with few titles released. But that makes it perfect for the final issue of Batman and Robin Eternal! I’ve been slacking on covering this series, especially since it turned out to be pretty darn good. Batman and Robin Eternal #26 gets Comic Book of the Week!
Join me after the jump for my take on the entire 26-issue series. I rather enjoyed myself.
Comic Reviews: Batman and Robin Eternal #26 and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #6.
The Aaahh!! Real Monsters/Pokemon Mash-Up of Our Dreams!
This is a cartoon that could only exist on this Internet that we know and love. And no, it’s not an April Fools Day prank. This isn’t going to be real. It’s just a fun bit of animation.
All kudos go to Brian Bear for this amazingly well done video. This is quality craftsmanship and dedication all around.

I Love April Fools Day!
I love the very concept of holidays, that we as a people come together for pageantry and silliness on certain days of the year. April Fools Day is a good one, a day for pranks and purposeful silliness. And the Internet is always a great place to find good April Fools Day pranks.
Such as IGN’s latest video for a live action Darth Maul TV show on Netflix! Oh, if only it were true…
I’m a little disappointed in myself that I didn’t name Darth Maul on my list of potential Star Wars Netflix shows. Though he would be a tough sell, quiet guy like that.
Anybody find any other really good Internet pranks this year? Share them in the comments!

Hawkeye Fan Film is So On Target
I gladly maintain that the Hawkeye series by Matt Fraction and David Aja is the comic book of the decade. It’s groundbreaking in its portrayal of ‘people first, superheroes second’. So why not celebrate with this awesome fan film based on the comic?
The fine folks at One Riot One Ranger Productions really name the look, feel and comedic elements of Hawkeye. I raise my bow and arrow to them!
