So They’re Making a Scooby Doo Cartoon Movie
There have been approximately one million Scooby Doo cartoon reboots and relaunches over the years. And now for the first time ever, they’re making a cartoon movie for the big screen. Here comes Scoob!
What an odd trailer. Looks like an awkward origin movie, crossed with an alien abduction story? I don’t know. It just looks so weird. I was a big fan of A Pup Named Scooby Doo when I was a kid, but seeing Scooby as a puppy in that trailer was kinda creepy!
Anyway, it comes out on May 15, for better or worse.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/9/19
Last week only had a couple of reviews, whereas this week has so many comics I don’t know where to start! I have overloaded this week’s Hench-Sized Reviews with comics, and yet some of my regulars still hit the cutting room floor! There are just too many good comics out there!
This week sees the debut of a new Legion of Super-Heroes and I decided to check out the first issue of the new Image comic Undiscovered Country. Beyond that, we’ve got Batman, X-Force, New Mutants, Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom and still more! I gave Comic Book of the Week to my darling, Wonder Twins, because sometimes I can’t help myself.
Meanwhile, I finally finished off the third season of the Young Justice cartoon. It was really good, though some of my complaints from the original run still remain prevalent. I think it’s so weird that each season focuses on a new main team of heroes, though I suppose it works. I’m definitely looking forward to future seasons!
Comic Reviews: Batman #82, Doctor Doom #2, Fantastic Four #16, Green Lantern: Blackstars #1, Legion of Super-Heroes #1, Lois Lane #5, New Mutants #1, Undiscovered Country #1, Wonder Twins #9 and X-Force #1.
Pixar is Just Cranking Them Out Now!
We already know that Onward is coming out next year from Pixar, but now we’ve also got Soul! Perhaps Pixar is going back to meaningful, non-sequel movies. I have hope.
Though that cowboy dance at the end isn’t very heartening. Must even Pixar reduce themselves to silly nonsense comedy? Leave that to the Arctic Dogs of the world.
Soul comes out on June 19.

The Only Thing to Bring Me Back to World of Warcraft Will be Ogres
The newest expansion of World of Warcraft has been announced and ogres are not yet a playable race. I’m sure Shadowlands will be awesome, but I’m holing out for ogres.
With this new expansion, I’m about to be three expansions behind on what used to be my favorite video game. I loved World of Warcraft, and I still probably do. But it’s not a game for me anymore. I was never interested in the post-game stuff. I just want to explore the world and play a good story. But I just don’t have much interest in the overall game anymore.
I want ogres. And maybe bards.

6 Things I Want to See in the Into the Spider-Verse Sequel
It was excitingly inevitable that we would get a sequel to the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I really do think the animated feature is my favorite of all the many Spider-Man movies. It was just a brilliant use of the character, exploring the meaning of being a hero with verve, wit, flashy animation and pretty much perfect everything.
So what can we expect to see in a sequel to something so expansive and creative as Into the Spider-Verse? There are some obvious answers, especially considering that tease at the end of the movie. And obviously we’ll probably see all of the main characters back for another go around. But surely with the Spider-Verse foundation built, we’re going to go bigger and wilder when the movie arrives in 2022.
Join me after the jump for some ideas and characters I’d like to see in the big, hopefully bombastic sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse!
