Check Out the Trailer for Death on the Nile

Not that we’re going to get movies back in theaters anytime soon, but here’s a new trailer for the Death on the Nile movie. This is a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express, which starred Kenneth Branagh as legendary detective Hercule Poirot.

I liked Murder on the Orient Express, and I liked Branagh as Poirot, so I think it would be fun to turn this into a whole series. I’ve never read either book, let alone any other Poirot mysteries, but it could be really fun.

Death on the Nile, in theory, is scheduled to come to theaters on Oct. 23. We’ll see.

6 Things I Want from Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad Game (Before We Know Anything About It)

We recently got the first visual confirmation that the video game studio Rocksteady is making a Suicide Squad video game. The geniuses who brought us the Arkhamverse trilogy will be tackling a new DC Comics crew and I am very excited.

The thing is, all we know about the game is this single teaser image. Looks like they’re targeting Superman? Who can say for sure.

Come and get it, Superman!

The point is, having nothing but a single teaser image is not going to stop me from speculating. Even if I only have to wait until this weekend for DC FanDome to actually reveal and explain the game, I’m gonna waste everybody’s time by speculating on things I want to see in the game right now. I don’t see why not. It’s the middle of August. The heat and humidity are terrible. The pandemic shows no signs of slowing down. Life is hell. Patience does not exist. I think it’s perfectly fine to spend my time day dreaming about a new video game from the studio that brought us the Arkham trilogy.

So join me after the jump for all the things I want to see in the Rocksteady Suicide Game, reduced to six entries. And come back after DC FanDome for a new list that will be based on everything we do learn about the game. Maybe some of the ones on this list will prove correct!

Avatar: The Last Airbender is, Honestly, the Best Cartoon of All Time

So, Avatar: The Last Airbender came to Netflix a couple weeks ago and everybody is either discovering or re-discovering it’s awesomeness. I don’t have time to watch the whole series again — though I should probably make time — so I’m just going to settle for the new Honest Trailer.

Man, that really was a great show. I should make time to watch it again.

Watch the First Episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks for Free!

Far be it for me to offer free publicity to CBS and the Star Trek franchise; I just want to share this awesome new show with you people. A lot of shows, or at least cartoons, nowadays are putting their first episode for free on YouTube. I think that’s a great marketing tactic! Because who here is actually subscribed to CBS All Access?

Anyway, Star Trek: Lower Decks is a great show so far and I think you should all give it a try!

I think it’s a funny show. Rapid delivering, dry, grounded humor, fun characters, a lot of great Star Trek lore baked deep into the show. It’s good stuff! And it’s free to watch! At least the first episode is…

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 8/15/20

We’re back! Back again! More comic reviews! Because why not? It’s a mild day in the middle of August and we’ve only got a couple of comics to review this week, mostly X-Men books.

Comic Book of the Week goes to The Green Lantern: Season Two # 6 because it’s a fun comic and I wanted to shake things up a bit this week.

Hal Jordan: Reporting for duty

Meanwhile, I’ve decided to read the entirety of Robert Kirkman’s Invincible. The compendiums are at a price I can afford on Amazon and my birthday is coming up. So I’ll let you know how it all goes in a year or so!

Speaking of letting you know how things are, I also read the second volume of Green Lantern: Earth One this week and it was pretty fun! On par with the first volume. It’s a quality GL re-imagining.

Comic Reviews: Empyre: X-Men #3, The Green Lantern: Season Two #6 and Marauders #11.
