Legends of Tomorrow Looks Pretty Badass

Legends of Tomorrow will premiere on Jan. 21, continuing the conquest of The CW with DC superheroes! I’m a little hesitant about this series, but damn if that trailer doesn’t look all manner of awesome. Can you believe we’re going to get a TV show starring Hawkman and the Atom? Granted, it’s in the same year that we’ll get a movie starring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. I guess 2016 is really going to be DC’s make or break year!

Jessica Jones Arrives Today!

In case you needed to be reminded, the new Jessica Jones TV show finally arrives on Netflix today! In fact, it’s available right now! Unfortunately, schmucks like me have to go to work. But you darn well better believe I’ll be binging the show as soon as I get out and through the weekend!

To hold us over, here’s the radical and nifty opening title sequence!

I’m so excited for this show! Word has it it’s just as good as we all hope. This is going to be a great weekend!

Back from Vacation – Just in Time for More Jessica Jones!

Hey everybody! Your regularly scheduled Henchman-4-Hire is back from vacation, finally, and we’re ready to get this blog back in order. Thank you very much to Alyssa for filling in with some fun videos while I was gone, but I’m ready to get back to work. Be sure to tune in later this morning for my review of Teen Titans #13.

But for now, Marvel and Netflix have released a second full-length trailer for Jessica Jones!

It’s not as evocative as the first, but I suppose it’s time to get into the nitty gritty now that the show is only a week away! I still cannot wait.

6 Minor Marvel Characters I Want to Pop Up on the Netflix Defenders

The Marvel Cinematic Universe just keeps growing by leaps and bounds! Not only is Spider-Man on board, but Mockingbird is now a permanent addition to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Patsy Walker is going to appear in the upcoming Jessica Jones show on Netflix — which debuts in only a few days! We live in an age where a live action Beta Ray Bill is a distinct possibility.

Soon

So being the comic book geek that I am, and considering I’m still on my vacation abroad and could use an easy topic, how about we play one of my favorite games and talk about what comic book characters we’d still like to see in the MCU. Specifically, if a character like Hellcat can get a supporting role on Netflix, and if the doors are open for Punisher to star as the villain of Daredevil season 2, what other minor Marvel characters could get a cameo or a starring role on the Netflix level? The sky’s the limit now! Barring any X-Men or Fantastic Four cast members, of course. We don’t live in a perfect world yet.

Join me after the jump for a few of my choices! And feel free to add your own in the comments!

The Teen Titans have been here before…

Cartoon Network’s “Teen Titans Go!” goes meta, and pays homage to one of the best comics-based cartoons ever aired. These feels go beyond the fourth wall.
