These Avengers: Doomsday Teasers Keep Winning Me Over
I’m not ashamed of the fact that I’m a Marvel Zombie. I love Marvel. I’ve loved pretty much every project they’ve put out since Endgame. I’m definitely looking forward to Avengers: Doomsday in December. And these trailers are proving to be a winning strategy.
That’s just fun. Seeing characters interact is going to be one of the great joys of Doomsday, and here we get a taste of it. And it’s a great taste! Bring on the fun character interactions! Bring on more of these teasers!
Avengers: Doomsday comes to theaters next December.

Here There Be X-Men
Alright, I’m fully on board with these Avengers: Doomsday teasers. They’re short and sweet and the new one is pretty cool. It’s the X-Men! The classic Fox X-Men!
Personally, I’m over the Fox X-Men. I’m ready for Marvel to reboot that franchise into their own MCU characters. But we’re here anyway, and I’m probably going to have fun with it, so who am I to stop them? There’s no denying that Ian McKellen is the best there is, so why not let him and his buddy Patrick Stewart have another go? And that Cyclops badassery is choice.
Avengers Doomsday is now less than a year away, next December.

Movie Trailer Monday: They Will Kill You
Behold, what appears to be a pretty fun slasher movie! They Will Kill You popped up on various pop culture websites I peruse yesterday, and it looked neat, so I’m sharing. This is one of those movies that would probably normally fly under someone’s radar. But now you can watch the trailer and perhaps set a date to go to the theater!
It’s a pretty gruesome red band trailer, though, so you may need to watch on YouTube.
Looks pretty fun to me! Similar to Ready or Not. Take a slasher/horror movie, dial the insanity up to 11 — like a flaming axe — and then just have fun with it. Definitely a quality concept for a movie, as far as I’m concerned. And who doesn’t like Zazie Beetz? Good times all around!
They Will Kill You will come to theaters on March 27.

My 6 Favorite Things of 2025
2025 was a horrible year. I had to buy both a new car and a new computer, both of which I’m still paying off. The world went even more to shit. I’m discovering in real time that my new landlord isn’t going to spring for plowing the snow out of my driveway. Marvel movies are doing poorly at the box office. And Grand Theft Auto VI was delayed until next year, if we’re lucky.
So boo on 2025!
But one thing I like to do every year is a roundup of my favorite bits and pieces of pop culture from the past year. My favorite movies, TV shows, comics and more. Why not? Every website does this at this time of year. Why not try to lift my own spirits with writing about my favorite things? And keep in mind, this is not a list of the best media, it’s my own personal list of favorites from the past year. Your mileage may vary.

Alright, I see what’s happening here. We got a Captain America teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday last week. Now we’ve got one for Thor. Check it out. It’s brief and doesn’t spoil anything…other than Thor being in Avengers: Doomsday.
So both trailers end with XXXX will return in Avengers: Doomsday, playing on that familiar coda from a lot of Marvel movies that declared so-and-so character would return. So perhaps we’re going to get a whole series of these short teasers? Teasing a bunch of characters showing up? Now that I can get behind! I was very lukewarm about the Cap trailer last week, and this Thor one doesn’t build much hype for the movie. But a series of ‘Will Return’ trailers could be pretty fun!
Avengers: Doomsday comes to theaters a year from now on Dec. 18.
