The Trailer Train Continues with Jurassic World
Yet another movie trailer has fallen in our laps today, this time for Jurassic World. I think it’s because all these big summer movies want to have trailers in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron in less than two weeks. Makes sense, but man, talk about losing hype. I’m all trailered out.
The movie looks fine. I don’t have particularly high hopes, and I still think Chris Pratt looks kind of silly, but whatever. He’s right: dinosaurs are awesome, and this is the premiere dinosaur franchise. How else are we going to get dinosaur movies?
No, seriously, why are there no other dinosaur movies? What about Dino-Riders? Why is that not a thing yet?!

New Fantastic Four Trailer Has a Lot of Stuff!
Desperate to join the party, a new trailer for the Fantastic Four movie hit the Internet today. I don’t see why they couldn’t wait until the hype died down from the Ant-Man, Star Wars and Batman v. Superman trailers, but let’s keep this party going!
I don’t know how I feel about this new trailer. I don’t know if I’m suffering from trailer overload or what, but I’m just…underwhelmed. Sometimes I forget that this movie is even coming out this Summer. I dunno. The new trailer shows off a lot of action, a lot of powers, a lot of neat character moments; it’s got everything a good trailer should have. But I just don’t really care.
I mean, I’ll definitely go see it. But Fantastic Four is definitely the forgotten son of the summer.
Here’s a cool movie poster that illicits the exact same reaction from me. The characters sure do look neat, right? I think the AVClub’s detached apathy explains things pretty well.

The Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer Finally Gets Official Release
I was waiting for this all day: the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer has finally, officially been released by DC Comics and Warner Bros. I watched the crappy leaked trailer last night, like everybody else, but I didn’t want to post the crappy version. I knew the big wigs would eventually relent and release the full trailer. It was only a matter of time – though I wish they’d done it much earlier in the day. But nonetheless, check out the full, official, quality trailer.
And despair.
Seriously, wow, this is a grim movie trailer. And I don’t think I like it – though I definitely like the HD version better than the crappy cell phone version that leaked the other night. Clarity does make for a better movie trailer.
And by all means, if you love the trailer, more power to you. I’m not saying it can’t be loved, but so far, it’s just not for me. It’s dark, joyless and exactly the sort of ‘extreme’ that I was afraid might happen. I didn’t like Man of Steel, and not because Superman was out of character or because of the wanton destruction. I didn’t care about that. I didn’t like Man of Steel because it was a poorly made movie. But I kept my hopes up for Batman v. Superman. Heck, I still kind of have my hopes up. You better believe I’m going to see it opening night. And Batman looks pretty damn awesome in this HD trailer.
But after the utter joyful euphoria of the Age of Ultron and Ant-Man trailers, after the glee of The Force Awakens trailer, this Batman v. Superman movie could stand to lighten up a little bit.

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Confirms Today is Chewbacca Day!
Now this is some sweet, sweet movie trailering. If you thought that first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer was good, then you ain’t seen nothing yet! Instead, you should see this, and prepare your squee effects.
Oh yes, that was good. That was damn good. Though I think the new characters were a little overshadowed by a certain pair of cameos at the very end. Seriously, kudos to Harrison Ford for being game to do this movie, because he’s going to make the whole thing worth it.
Beyond his cameo at the end, I think this movie is a little slicker than your average Star Wars movie. It looks like Star Wars by way of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movies. This trailer looked slick, action-packed and just the right amount of wild, but with classic Star Wars spaceships. I can’t tell yet if that’s good or bad.
But I do know that The Force Awakens looks pretty darn awesome.
The New Ant-Man Trailer is What We’ve Been Waiting For
A second, awesome Ant-Man trailer hit the Internet today, and it’s exactly what we’ve all been waiting for! The first trailer was good, but failed to impress everybody. This new trailer is chocked to the gills with special effects, shrinking, and some awesome Ant-Man comedy! This is the movie we all want to see!
I am very excited for Ant-Man. I know Age of Ultron is going to be good. I knew Daredevil would be great. But Ant-Man is the big gamble. A lot of people aren’t too sold on this film yet. But I am going to be its champion! The movie looks great. Paul Rudd is an amazing choice for the main character. Ant-Man is going to ride its underdog status to success!
