Top 6 “Silver” Superheroes

It’s that time again, henchies! Your favorite game and mine, Color Wheel! In which I knock out a List of Six based on colors, and superheroes who happen to have that color in their name! Because I find it a little silly that comic book characters might randomly throw a color into their name to add some character. This week, it’s silver characters.

Silver List 01

I promise you, this game does have a purpose. Whether or not I have the courage to carry out that purpose is anyone’s guess, down the line. But for now, we’re going to take a look at comic book characters who have the word ‘silver’ in their name and use the color in their theme. We’ve already done a Blue List, a Green List and a Red List. So join me after the jump to check out silver!

Truth is, it’s crunch time for this week’s List of Six and I didn’t have enough time to write up all of my thoughts on the first season of Titans. Expect that list next week, hopefully! It was a really enjoyable show!

6 Marvel/DC Crossovers I Want to Read

Longtime comic book artist George Perez announced his retirement the other day, and it got me thinking about Marvel and DC crossovers. Perez is a legend in the industry, and he single-handedly drew every issue of the JLA/Avengers crossover a few years ago, in which Perez drew pretty much every superhero who had ever been a member of either team. The man was prolific and awesome.

Needs more Darkclaw

Marvel and DC have had a bunch of crossovers over the years, and I’ve read my fair share. I was big into Marvel vs. DC back in the 90s, especially the Amalgam Comics crossover that resulted. There are also plenty of stand alone crossovers, like that one story where Batman and Captain America team up in the 1940s, or the Silver Surfer meets Kyle Rayner comic from back in the day, or the X-Men meet the Teen Titans. There’s plenty of crossovers, and I’ve got some of my own I’d like to see!

Join me after the jump for six Marvel/DC crossovers that would make for some pretty fun comics.

6 Things I Want to See in the Game of Thrones Finale

The final season of Game of Thrones will be upon us in April. I’m a big fan of the show, just like everybody else in the world. And I have no idea how it’s going to end. I don’t even have any solid theories or guesses. I got no clue how it’s all going to turn out for real.

So let’s have some fun making stuff up!

got finale list 01

Only a couple months away!

Honestly, I’m just gonna rattle off a bunch of silly and overly cheerful wish-fulfillment stuff for the finale of Game of Thrones. Maybe I’ll hit upon some truths here or there, but most likely I’ll just be whistling Dixie, and where’s the harm in that? This is a week for silly fun! So join me after the jump for what I hope to see for the future of Westeros. We’ll most likely get something far more tragic.

Please feel free to share your own hopes, dreams and fears for the end of Game of Thrones in the comments!

6 Thoughts on the First Season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Sometimes a piece of entertainment comes along that makes you change everything you thought you had planned for your blog. I don’t review TV shows often (unless they’re superhero shows), but after watching the first season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power on Netflix, I knew I had to do more to preach the good word about this cartoon. Holy cow, you henchies, it’s good!

shera list 02

TV Rating: 10/10 – Fantastic

Based on the He-Man spin-off from the 1980s, She-Ra and the Princess of Power is about Adora, raised and trained by the evil Horde to help conquer the planet of Etheria. When she finds a magic sword that transforms her into a golden Amazon named She-Ra, she starts to learn just how evil and damaging the Horde really is. Adora switches sides and joins the Rebellion, making fast friends with some of the titular Princesses of Power along the way.

The new show was adapted and brought to the screen by Noelle Stevenson, one of the genius co-creators behind Lumberjanes. You can easily see Stevenson’s style in She-Ra, and I already loved her from Lumberjanes. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is everything I want from modern cartoons! You can find it on Netflix!

Join me after the jump for my review/thoughts on the first season of the show! Except FULL SPOILERS for the season.

Movie 2019 List 01

Going to see movies has become a really involved hobby of mine. I like to do some short, quippy reviews on Facebook afterwards, and I’ve been writing full-on reviews for my newspaper day job for a few months now. I just love seeing movies! Even with MoviePass out of my life, I still like heading to the theater and taking in a flick. And these are the six movies I’m most excited to see going into the new year!
