6 Different Avengers Teams to Use After Endgame
Avengers: Endgame will be here in only a few days and then a decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will reach its conclusion — but that won’t be the end of Marvel movies. Disney and Marvel would be fools to bring this gravy train to a halt. They’ve already got a lot of plans for further Black Panther and Doctor Strange movies, along with finally giving us a Black Widow film, and whatever nonsense they’re planning with the Eternals.
But where does the Avengers name brand franchise go from here? How about a spin-off!
I have not yet seen Avengers: Endgame so I do not yet know the state of the team at the end of the film. Who’s dead? Who’s retired? Are the Avengers even still around? Do they still have that sweet compound in Upstate New York? I’ll find out in a few days! But until then, how about we wildly speculate about where the Avengers franchise could go next! Surely the brand name is too famous and popular to let lie. So how about we look back at some classic comic book spin-off Avengers teams and figure out how they could host the next billion dollar franchise!

My 6 New Favorite Game of Thrones Characters…Probably
The final season of Game of Thrones is upon us and it promises to be devastating! I have high hopes for the finale and look forward to each and every episode! About six years ago, just as the show was getting started, I put together a List of Six of my favorite characters at the time. It’s an interesting list to look back upon. And heck, all but one of the characters is still alive! Fancy that!
In honor of the final season, and because the list has changed a lot, I’ve whipped up a list of my current favorite characters heading into Season 8! I doubt this list will change by the end, barring someone doing something really awesome! Hopefully more than a few of these characters will survive the whole show.
It is definitely interesting to see how my favorite characters have changed over the course of the show. Most of my earlier favorites are still alive, like I said, and they remain cool characters. But mainly it seems new characters popped up and I found them just plain cooler and more interesting to watch.
So join me after the jump for my favorite Game of Thrones characters going into the final season! And feel free to share your own favorites in the comments!
6 Thoughts on Shazam!
The battle of the Captain Marvel movies is finally in full swing, with Shazam! showing up to deliver a nearly knockout blow to the Marvel counterpart. Which one is better? Hard to say. Both have their strengths. But I think I’m going to give the edge to Shazam! because it’s just so much fun!
Movie Rating: 9/10 – Great.
DC Comics has cast off the shackles of the grim and gritty Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice films and they have embraced the fun of their superheroes. They’ve also done away with the need to tie everything together, even though Shazam! has several references to the wider DCEU. I think that is a good choice for them. It frees up each movie to be focused on itself. And if they’re going to try to repair the damage they did to themselves, keeping things simple is the best choice.
It definitely worked for Shazam! Join me after the jump for my review of the movie! And be careful of FULL SPOILERS for Shazam!
The 6 Craziest Members of the Shazam! Family (the Shazamily!)
Shazam! comes out this weekend and I’m mildly excited. That’s a good enough reason to make a fun internet list, right? I’ve just never really cared about the Shazam character, I’m only mildly interested in all these DC superhero movies, and I still can’t buy Zachary Levi in the role. Hopefully all of that will change once I see the actual film!
And at least I can get a fun blog listicle about it. When Captain Marvel came out, I did a funny list of all the best Captain Marvels in comics. So how about a funny list of all the best Shazams in comics? Because Shazam is one of those characters with a big, weird comic book family. They were once known as the Marvel Family, but how has the phrase “Shazamily” not caught on?
The character very nearly predates World War II, and being around that long means there have been a lot of weird stories over the years. So let’s check out all of the craziest people who have been given Shazam powers over the decades! Or close to it!
6 Things I Want to See in a Pokemon Cinematic Universe
With the Detective Pikachu movie already hyped up beyond belief, there was talk recently of a potential Pokemon Cinematic Universe. Word has it that the studio behind Detective Pikachu is already working on a Pokemon Red and Blue movie set in the same world, with all these awesome and adorable realistic-looking animated Pokemon.
Bring it on, I say!
Like everyone else in the world, I am mesmerized by the Pokemon in the Detective Pikachu movie trailers. They look so amazing! Adorable and realistic and crazy to exist! I have been a Pokemon fan since the Pokemon Red and Blue games first came out. I’ve got my favorites and I’ve got my hopes and dreams. And since I probably won’t be able to play Pokemon Sword and Shield, this movie franchise might be just what I need to get my Pokemon fix.
Seriously, I never stopped playing Pokemon Go. I’m that deep.
Join me after the jump for what I’d like from a Pokemon Cinematic Universe!
