6 Characters I Want to See on a Justice League Dark TV Show
A Justice League Dark TV show was recently announced for the upcoming HBO streaming service. Will it actually happen? I don’t know. DC has announced several dozens potential TV shows and movies in development over the years, and how many actually come to fruition? On the other hand, we do have live action Krypton and Black Lightning TV shows, and the Aquaman movie was a huge hit, so I guess anything is possible!

Bring back Keanu Reeves!
Some kind of live action Justice League Dark TV show or movie has been in the works since at least 2012, when it was rumored that Guillermo del Toro was working on it. The project has passed through various iterations until this past week, when it was announced that J.J. Abrams was working on the new HBO show. He’s got a pretty solid reputation, right? So maybe it will happen!
That begs the question: Who will appear? Obviously the major players like Zatanna, Constantine and Swamp Thing will likely show up, but who will round out the cast? I have some ideas! Join me after the jump!
6 Superhero Vehicles That Are Knock-Offs of the Batmobile
Want to hear a funny story? So I’m trapped at home during this global pandemic, right? But I’m allowed to go out for groceries. So I did yesterday, made it all the way to the store and then my car wouldn’t start! Isn’t that hilarious? And then the shop I was able to take it to said they needed to keep it overnight, and as of my posting this listicle, I have yet to hear what the damage is going to be.
So let’s talk about Batmobiles.
More specifically, let’s talk about knock-offs of the Batmobile. I love the Batmobile. It’s my favorite of all fictional vehicles. And I could have done a list of my favorite Batmobiles, but there are too many to pick from. I could have done a list of other superhero vehicles, but that seems too generic. So how about a list of vehicles that are clearly just knock-offs of the Batmobile, whether intentionally, as part of an obvious parody or just because they tried to slip one by the readers. That should be fun! Join me after the jump!
Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 4/11/20
The virus apocalypse is still very much in effect and the world of comics may never be the same. You all know this. You’re here for comic book reviews! And good news, I actually have one! This week saw the release of the much-talked-about Gotham High graphic novel aimed, I think, at young adults.
There are no new regular comics coming out, only random digital comics that I just don’t feel like reading. So I decided to grab a digital copy of Gotham High to read and review because this book has received some heat recently — and not the good kind of heat. The annoying, roll-your-eyes, can’t believe the people that say this stuff call themselves comic book fans kind of heat. Rather than let that stand, I decided to add my review to the mix!
Comic Reviews: Gotham High.
Some Honest Trailers for this Honest Friday
Since I no longer have comics to talk about, it’s a good thing I’ve saved up a couple of good YouTube videos to use on lazy Fridays like this one. Arguably, I should have plenty of time to write up some original pieces for this blog, but I have not yet transitioned out of the ‘lay on my couch staring at my ceiling’ phase of quarantine.
So how about the Honest Trailer of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!
Ha, yeah. The movie was all those things. In time, I’m probably going to feel the same way about The Rise of Skywalker as I do the other new Star Wars movies. Which is that it’s fine, but I just don’t care.
How about the Honest Trailer for Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey?
Also a movie I enjoyed. I’m sad it wasn’t a success and we probably won’t get a sequel of any kind. But at least we’ve got parody videos!

The 6 Comics I Will Miss Most in Quarantine
As I write this, we don’t yet fully know what’s going to happen with new comic book releases during the coronavirus crisis. Diamond Distributors will not be distributing physical comics to stores anymore, and I believe both Marvel and DC have announced they will not be releasing their normal print comics digitally, though at least DC will continue to release their regular digital-first comics. Other studies, like BOOM! and IDW, have halted all production.

I’ll never forget you, Melody Guthrie
So if the comic book industry grinds to a halt and we don’t get any new comics for the foreseeable future, I thought now would be a good time to sit back and take stock of which comics I’m really enjoying right now, which comics are my favorite, and which I am really going to miss going forward. I don’t know what’s going to happen to my weekly review column if we don’t get any new comics. At least we’re all in this together.
Join me after the jump for the six ongoing comics I will really miss if the virus kills the comic book industry. And feel free to share your own favorites in the comments!
