Ghostbusters: Afterlife is Still Coming Out!
Want proof? How about this really cool new trailer that arrived today? I gotta say, I watch a lot of trailers, and this one is a really good one. Well-made, well-paced, well-crafted; I like this trailer.
Now, will the movie be any good? Who can say! I liked the all-female reboot just fine. And I’m obviously a huge fan of BOTH originals. So let’s all get our hopes up that Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be a really fun jam.
Though we have to wait until Nov. 11 to see for sure.

More Star Trek: Lower Decks is Coming!
I have never been a Star Trek guy…until last year, when the cartoon Lower Decks debuted and I was instantly in love! This is the Star Trek for me. Funny, well-written, awesome in all the right ways and full of smart, well-used references. I would literally watch an episode and then go online to learn what all the references were, I was that in love with the show.
And it’s coming back for a second season!
I cannot wait. This show is damn good, and I hope it gets a bajillion seasons. And then I hope it gets some live action crossovers somehow with other Trek media. Paramount is putting out a ton of Star Trek content these days, and Lower Decks is the only one that’s any good. In my opinion.
Season two of Star Trek: Lower Decks arrives on Aug. 12!

These Dune Trailers Remain Impenetrable to Me
I have no connection to Dune. I never read the books and, if I ever saw that original movie, I have no memory of it. I know that the words “space” and “ancient sand worms” are part of Dune, and that’s about it. So when I say this new trailer looks impenetrable, I want you to know that’s coming from someone who is not a superfan of Dune.
I’m a big science fiction fan. I’m fairly excited to go see this movie. But man, I can’t make heads or tails of this trailer. There are so many characters, planets, governments, twists, monsters, armies; it’s madness! And if I’m having this kind of trouble, what about regular people who aren’t already leaning towards seeing this film in theaters?
Dune looks to be as about as ambitious as movies can get…but I fear for what that will mean for regular moviegoers.
Dune comes to theaters on Oct. 22.
