Doctor Who Specials Incoming
David Tennant is returning to Doctor Who for a series of specials to just sort of interject between new seasons. That’s fine. Everybody loves David Tennant. I’m especially excited for the return of Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, my favorite companion. So these should be fun.
Looks like exciting Doctor Who action. I’m still one season behind. I need to get caught up on how Jodie Whittaker ended things. The new specials are coming to Disney+, which I have. So hopefully those last Jodie Whittaker episodes and specials also come to Disney+.
The new David Tennant specials are coming to Disney+ starting Nov. 25.

The New Ducktales Cartoon is Going All Out!
Did you know that they’re making a new Ducktales cartoon? The news has been all over the Internet because the marketing team is on point with their attempts at viral videos. Check out this musical one!
Clearly this was built by someone who recognizes how iconic that theme song has become to we now-adults who grew up watching Ducktales. I was one of them. I was right there in the thick of things, as Ducktales was definitely one of my favorite cartoons from my youth. So this video is made expressly for people like me, old fans who are definitely going to check out the new movie. I’m not going to fight it. Why would I? When you’ve got Kate Micucci as Webby and David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck? The casting in this cartoon looks to be kind of insane. I love it already.

The First Full Jessica Jones Trailer is Mega Scary
It’s possible we may never be able to see David Tennant the same way again. Make sure you have his best episodes of Doctor Who handy when you watch Jessica Jones in order to decompress! This trailer is scary as all get out, and Krysten Ritter looks perfect in the lead role!
Oh man, that is hauntingly good. Spooky, painful, dark; and we thought Daredevil was good. Jessica Jones is gonna be crazy good! Can’t wait for this show to arrive on Netflix on Nov. 20!

Doctor Who Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Now that’s a misleading title, isn’t it? But I’m trying my hand at Internet headline trickery today with the news that David Tennant has been cast as the Purple Man in the upcoming Jessica Jones show on Netflix.
I wonder if they’ll paint his skin
I’m a big David Tennant fan, so I’m sure he’ll be particularly awesome in the role. I never read the original Alias story for Jessica Jones, but the Purple Man is particularly evil. He’s got the super-power to control other people like puppets with nothing but his mind…and those kinds of powers get pretty intense and evil in an R-rated story. We’ll see how far Marvel and Netflix want to go with Jessica Jones.

Short Preview for the Doctor Who Christmas Special
A tiny teaser trailer for Matt Smith’s final adventure as The Doctor has hit the web in the aftermath of the 50th anniversary special.
The trailer doesn’t say much, but it doesn’t have to, I’m more interested in talking about the anniversary special! What did everybody think? I loved it! The episode was classic Doctor Who, from the silly aliens, the wonderful humor and the emotional gutpunch. I thought Tennant and Smith were amazing together, and John Hurt was simply fantastic as the War Doctor. The guy really sold the role. I loved the twist ending to the Great Time War, and all the little cameos! I don’t think there’s anything I didn’t love about the special, other than the lack of Chris Eccleston, but that’s on him.
