6 Best Superheroes With Portal Powers

Now we’re thinking with portals! One of my absolute favorite comic book villains is often mocked to no end for being one of the lamer bad guys, despite the fact that he has one of the coolest powers in all of comics. We’ll get to him further down on this list, but it’s always grinded my gears that he gets mocked when his powers are legit amazing.

So I’ve put together this list of awesome characters with the same power to prove how cool it is!

Portal Powers List 01

Think like this!

That power is teleportation via portals. Have you ever played the video game Portal? How much fun is that game? You rend the fabric of space to create a hole and then pass through to an adjoining hole. It’s super neat! And it’s super fun! And there’s a bunch of superheroes and villains with the power.

Join me after the jump as I prove to you with solid evidence that portal powers are the best!

Have You Heard of Infinity Train?

I hadn’t heard of Infinity Train until Comic-Con this past weekend, when it got a new teaser. But apparently, it’s been around since at least late 2016, when a pilot short was hosted online through Cartoon Network. I don’t know how I missed this, but watch the whole thing, it is hilarious and just plain cool as heck!

Infinity Train is from Owen Dennis, who worked on Regular Show, which I’ve never seen. It’s about a girl, Tulip, stuck on a mystical train, where each car is something new and wild.

Here’s the new teaser from Comic-Con this past weekend.

Cartoon Network has promised a full show to come out some time next year! Consider yourself all on notice to watch it! Get hyped!

And Here’s a Bunch of SDCC TV Trailers!

San Diego Comic-Con keeps rolling along, and it keeps producing quick and easy trailers on YouTube that I can share! I love trailers, and I hope you do too, because here’s a bunch of them for upcoming TV shows!

First up, a full trailer for Disenchanted, the new cartoon from Matt Groening. It looks…OK. A lot of simple jokes. But I have faith. The show goes up on Netflix on Aug. 17.

Then there’s a trailer for the next season of Voltron, which looks awesome. I love this series and can’t wait to buy the Voltron LEGO set in a week! Hopefully I’ll have it in time to watch this new season on Aug. 10!

Then how about the new season of Young Justice. Looks pretty neat. I enjoyed the show the first time it was around, but wasn’t such a super fan that I’m foaming at the mouth over Outsiders. But hey, I’ll always take some nice DC animated superhero stuff.

Then we’ve got a new season of The Venture Bros. coming up. I love the show, but I continue to be annoyed at the release schedule. Every other animated show produces new episodes every year. What is it about The Venture Bros. that requires several years between seasons?

The new season starts Aug. 5.

Finally, here’s a glimpse at upcoming DuckTales episodes. Further fuel for my Disney Expanded Cartoon Universe hopes and dreams!

Oy vey, that was a lot of trailers. And I’m sure there will be more today! So keep tuning in to the madness as I try to keep up!

DC Brings Even More Movie Trailers – Shazam! and Aquaman!

Just when I thought I could stop posting new movie trailers from San Diego Comic-Con, DC and Warner Bros. hit us with the trailers for their next big superhero movies: Shazam! and Aquaman! Seeing as how I’m a sucker for superhero movies, you’re darn right I’m posting these two trailers!

Shazam! looks pretty good, even though I still can’t get past seeing Zachary Levi as anything other than Zachary Levi.

But I definitely like the trailer. It looks neat and has a nice gimmick.

However, the Aquaman trailer looks cheesy and messy and a little too crazy.

I don’t care for that trailer. It leans way too hard on the big CGI nonsense of Atlantis than on anything I might be interested in. And while I still like Jason Momoa in the role, he’s really only in this trailer to deliver one-liners when they cut to him. And they’re not even good ones.

Mera jumps out of a plane without a parachute, and the only thing the writers could come up with was a crack about redheads? Really? Is there that little creativity put into this film?

Of course, you’re darn right I’m going to see it when it comes out!

So Many Flippin’ Movie Trailers!

I am definitely losing the battle for posting fun stuff from San Diego Comic-Con. There’s been a ton of really neat trailers, and I’m way behind on sharing them, let alone the cool comic book news. But it’s Saturday afternoon, and I’m ready to drop some cool movie trailers on your henchies!

We’ve got Godzilla: King of the Monsers.

Looks darn cool! Bring on all the monsters! I liked the first one, so you best believe I’m excited for this one.

Then we’ve got Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Yeah, totally, more Wizarding World movies! I’m way in favor of those. I’m sure this one will be a blast. Remind me before this movie comes out to tell you all about how Newt Scamander doesn’t actually do anything in the first film in the series.

Then how about the trailer for Glass.

I loved Unbreakable, just like everybody else. I haven’t seen Split yet, but I’m sure it’s fine. And bringing them together sounds good to me! Let’s do it!

I think that’s all the movie trailers I have to share right now. And I know I’m missing some others that debuted. But I’m only one man on only one blog!

I’ll share some TV trailers tomorrow!
