Some Boss Movie Trailers to Start the Week
It’s Monday. Same as always. So how about we ease the trouble with some nifty movie trailers? I love movie trailers. I used to watch Coming Attractions on the E! Network as a kid.
First up is JoJo Rabbit, the next original film from Taika Waititi!
That looks amazing. I’m definitely excited for that one, with Waititi knocking it out of the park lately. The dude has reached the zenith! JoJo Rabbit comes out on Oct. 18.
Next up is Zombieland: Double Tap, the sequel to the original.
This could be fun, and probably will be. They had a shot at a TV show at one point. But the trailer looks wild, so here’s hoping Zombieland 2 is good stuff! This one is due out…also on Oct. 18! Oh man! how can we be expected to choose?!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews -7/27/19
Comic books were on fire this week! A bunch of my favorites came out, including previous favorites that I no longer like! Magnificent Ms. Marvel was another terrible issue, while Tony Stark – Iron Man was another great issue! And we’ve got a strong first issue for the new Jane Foster Valkyrie comic!
This week also saw the big kick-off to Jonathan Hickman’s revamp of the X-Men with House of X #1. I had high hopes for this relaunch…and the first issue delivers in spades! Easily Comic Book of the Week as it ushers in a crazy new X-Men status quo!
Meanwhile, sad news for Champions fans as it has been cancelled. Writer Jim Zub is a stand-up guy, so I’m sad to see his plans fall apart. But count me among the readers that just didn’t connect with the title. Sorry Jim!
Comic Reviews: Guardians of the Galaxy #7, House of X #1, Magnificent Ms. Marvel #5, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #41, Tony Stark – Iron Man #14 and Valkyrie #1.
The Boys Begins Today!
We live in a world where Garth Ennis’ The Boys has a live action TV show. And it arrives on the Amazon Prime TV service today! I have such newfound respect for Seth Rogen, who I already loved, who uses his fame and wealth to turn awesome comics into hopefully awesome TV shows!
The Boys was a really good comic, even great at times. I’m excited to see it translated to television. I enjoy Preacher and my hopes are high for The Boys. It’s just a shame it took this long to get made, and Simon Pegg couldn’t play Wee Hughie.

Check Out the Picard TV Show
I was never a Star Trek fan. Just wasn’t my thing growing up. But nowadays I’m a major consumer of all things geeky and TVish (though I have yet to see the second season of Star Trek: Discovery). Anyway, I’ll definitely be checking out this new Jean Luc Picard-based TV show when it comes out. This trailer is from Comic-Con last weekend.
Star Trek: Picard looks to be a fun revival-type show, where a bunch of classic Star Trek actors show back up to appeal to nostalgia and fan service. Along with the obvious Picard, we’re also getting Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager, which is a nice touch! Data and Ryker are also scheduled to return. And if it’s popular, I’m sure a lot of people will be back.
Picard arrives on some streaming service or another early next year.

6 Things I Want Added to Red Dead Redemption Online
Once again I find myself lost in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, easily one of the biggest and best video game I’ve ever played. There have been a lot of good games lately, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is the exactly perfect video game for me — and I am very much enjoying the online multiplayer.
Check out my custom character! I’m Henchman4Hire on Playstation 4!
There’s not much to the multiplayer just yet. It’s really just the big, glorious game world with a bunch of random jobs, playgrounds, mini-games and a couple of story missions. But that’s enough for me. Honestly, I just love existing in this game world. I love the feel of walking around. I love the pedantic stuff. I love trotting my horse through town. I love putting together the perfect outfit. I love this game!
And there are a couple of expansion ideas I hope to see over the next few months and years. The online multiplayer is growing in fits and starts. There’s a big update coming later this summer that will add some professions, like bounty hunter or fur trapper. That should be fun. Rockstar has been updating Grand Theft Auto Online for years now, and surely they will do the same for the cowboy version.
Join me after the jump for six things I personally want to see and experience in future Red Dead Online updates.
