More Doctor Who is Coming
Like a lot of other good TV, the next season of Doctor Who is right around the corner. It’s so close, we’ve got a trailer for the Doctor’s latest adventures, and new companion!
Looks fun to me! I very much enjoyed Ncuti Gatwa’s first season as the Doctor and I’m definitely looking forward to more. The gossip sites keep ragging about him leaving early or the show getting cancelled, but I think both are overblown and not likely to happen. Doctor Who is good TV, and I like the bigger budget that Disney+ can provide. I’m also looking forward to the new companion, played by Varada Sethu.
It all looks great to me! More Doctor Who is on the way April 12.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 3/1/25
If you’re reading this when it gets posted, I am on the road heading to pick up the physical copies of Gamer Girl & Vixen Vol. 2! My new comic! I can’t wait to see how it turned out.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Absolute Wonder Woman #5 for some truly awesome storytelling and creative moments.
Meanwhile, I was busy buying a new car last weekend, so I missed a lot of comics that came out last week. My bad. And while I had the time to read more comics this week, most of what I read was just really good and enjoyable, and I didn’t have a lot of thoughts about them. Then the days just got away from me. So sorry for the lack of more reviews…
I’m still playing Dragon Age: Veilguard, though I hope to beat it in time to pick up Kingdom Come: Deliverance II ahead of my upcoming week vacation. And I finally watched Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man this past week and it was excellent! A very well-made Spider-Man cartoon, with a great use of a wider Marvel Universe and Spidey’s whole world. Loved it!

Yesterday, James Gunn shared our first look at Hal Jordan and John Stewart from the upcoming Lanterns TV show. And I think they look great! Kyle Chandler looks awesome as Hal, and Aaron Pierre is a wild kind of intense.
I am fully on board with this being a more grounded show. We saw what a CGI heavy Green Lantern was like on the big screen. So I’m fine with making a grounded, Earth-based detective show in which the main characters also wield these power rings, and occasionally go into space. There’s definitely a way to balance it all, and my faith in James Gunn remains unwavering, even though I know he’s not making Lanterns.
I like this look! And we better get a crossover with Guy Gardner at some point during the first season, is all I gotta say.

Frank Reynolds in Stuff is Always Funny
Comedy is subjective. But one thing that definitely makes me laugh is when YouTubers insert Danny DeVito’s Frank Reynolds character into stuff where he doesn’t belong. The latest video by eli_handle_b.wav inserts Frank into Cyberpunk 2077. I just think it’s funny!
I’ve posted about this before, with Frank inserted in the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3 or The Last of Us, and like I said, it’s always funny. And we could all use a bit of dumb funny nowadays, amiright? Anyway, watch and laugh. I know I did.

We Got An Andor Season 2 Trailer, Baby!
The second season of Andor is apparently right around the corner! We knew it was coming. The hype is real. Season 1 was a friggin’ masterpiece, and season 2 will have a lot to do. So how about we settle in and enjoy this new trailer?
Looks great! Love the song choice. Love the look of everybody. Love the snippets of dialogue. This one is gonna be good, people. We’re gonna be feasting on good TV this year. Daredevil: Born Again starts next week. We’ve got the second season of The Last of Us coming out soon, too. And now Andor at the end of April. Hot damn!
Andor season 2 comes to Disney+ on April 22.
