This Beavis/Link Mash-Up is Pretty Darn Funny

Sometimes we just want to kick back and have a laugh at the genius the internet brings us. I know that’s what I do with my day. And I had a good laugh at this mash-up where some internet genius takes dialogue from Beavis and Butt-Head and dubs it over one of those old Legend of Zelda cartoons. Just watch for yourself.

Now that is good, quality, weird, dumb, funny stuff. That’s what the internet was made for. All hail the creator: KhalidSMShahin! This is how masterpieces are made.

The 6 Sharpest Sword-Based Characters in Comics

Finally, at long last, I’m playing the video game Ghost of Tsushima. The game was a big hit last summer, but I’d never heard of it and simply didn’t get around to it…until now! I have taken on the role of Jin Sakai as he fights to retake his homeland from invaders, armed only with his family’s legendary katana blade! It’s a great game so far, so I’ve decided to turn it into a List of Six about comic book characters who are based around swords.

So much blade studying on this list!

I don’t just mean characters who use swords. Lots of characters use swords. I mean characters who base their whole identity around swords. Maybe they’ve got a magic sword that grants them their powers. Maybe they named themselves after swords. These are characters who are super duper into swords. And not all of them are katanas. We’re just having fun with swords today!

Join me after the jump for a handful of comic book characters whose, like, whole thing is swords.

Let’s Take Another Look at Raya and the Last Dragon!

The next big Disney film to come to premium streaming on Disney+ is Raya and the Last Dragon. Will it be good? I don’t know. I still think it looks a little too ambitious in these trailers. But who am I to judge? What the heck do I even know? There’s a new trailer!

Hopefully it will be great. I definitely plan to pay for the premium movie premiere, so I hope it will be worth my money. I love dragons! I love good fights in movies! So I’m going to hope for the best!

Raya and the Last Dragon comes to Disney+ (and theaters, I guess) on March 5!

The Big Game Brings a Big Trailer!

The Super Bowl was yesterday and, as is my nature, I didn’t watch it. But I definitely watched the new trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, released alongside the Big Game! Still looks great!

The show comes to Disney+ on March 19, with is a little more than a month away. And…there’s not much more to say about the show at this point. The trailer looks amazing. The special and digital effects are movie-quality. This looks to be as good as a Marvel movie, and that’s insane!

I wish I was a smarter, more academic person so I could analyze how this will effect the TV landscape going forward. TV shows with the budgets and digital effects quality of movies? Madness! And I’m very excited. I hope you are too!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 2/6/21

What a week! Not only do I have a pile of comics to review, but I also have a big pile of comics to review! Between Future State at DC and my favorites at Marvel, there’s a lot to read and review! Fortunately for me, they’re all largely comics I enjoy, like Far Sector, Future State: Wonder Woman and X-Factor!

Comic Book of the Week goes to the returning Runaways, because that comic is just so precious! Any issue is a reason to celebrate!

Somebody loves them!

Meanwhile, another banger of a WandaVision episode yesterday! I’m definitely going to have to do a review list when it’s all done! Also this week, I’ve been building the Marvel Legends Stilt-Man figure! I can’t believe that’s real! I bought it using the ad money I earn from this site. I only make about $10 a month in ad revenue, and I only get paid by WordPress once I have $100 built up, so payments are few and far between. But I got $100 last month, just in time to go on eBay and start buying individual Stilt-Man pieces! He looks great!

Comic Reviews: Far Sector #10, Future State: The Next Batman #3, Future State: Wonder Woman #2, Harley Quinn & the Birds of Prey #4, Runaways #33, Strange Academy #8 and X-Factor #7.
