6 Thoughts on Eternals (Review)
Marvel superhero content is a never-ending stream of movies and TV shows these days, and here comes another one. I have always been very hesitant about Eternals. They’re a pretty unpopular and uninteresting faction in the comics, so why make a movie about them? But then who am I to question the mighty minds of Marvel Studios?
Movie Rating: 7/10 – Good
Eternals is infamous now as being the only movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I don’t put any stock into that website, so it means nothing to me. I was always going to see Eternals in the theater as soon as possible and I did. And enjoyed the movie. I saw no real, major problems with the film, definitely not to the degree of the drubbing its getting. But this is a weird world we live in. And Spider-Man: No Way Home is only a month away.
Join me after the jump for my thoughts and review of Eternals. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the movie. And feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife comes out in a couple of weeks and the Powers That Be released a short new trailer yesterday. I’m excited for this film, and normally I love watching trailers, but I have not watched this one. And I advise you to not watch it either. Apparently, it’s full of spoilers. DON’T WATCH THIS TRAILER.
Thankfully, other internet sites who have shared this trailer have watched it and revealed that it’s full of spoilers. So thankfully, I didn’t watch it and I haven’t had anything spoiled. Hopefully the same has happened to you.
Why then, you might ask, did I even bother to share this trailer if I haven’t seen it and don’t want you to see it? Because it’s just a random Tuesday, I need to be at work soon and I gotta put something up, right? I gotta keep the blog churning? Isn’t that how this works?!
Wait…is that…is that not how this works? Could I have elected not to post anything on this random Tuesday and nobody would have cared? That’s good advice, actually….

Let’s All Remember The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny is one of the greatest internet artifacts of all time. It’s a true masterpiece. And then randomly the other day, I was browsing YouTube and stumbled upon this cover version, in which a bunch of creative artists have teamed up to make a new version!
And it’s great! That song will always be marvelous, and I love the new animations. I’m so glad I randomly found this thing in all its wonderful thingness. And I hope you enjoyed it as well!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 11/6/21
Welcome to Eternals opening weekend! By the time you read this, I will have hopefully seen the new MCU movie. I have my hopes up, despite the split response from critics. I’ll see this one for myself, and then my full review/thoughts will go up on Wednesday. It’s a pretty light week for new comics for me regardless.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Dark Knights of Steel #1 because it’s a fun comic, though not without some faults. I like a good alternate reality story and Tom Taylor is a great talent.
Meanwhile, I’ve started watching the second season of The Owl House on Disney+ and it is as delightful as the first. Highly recommend that show. The rest of my week was spent on near 12-hour work days, so not much time for anything else I’m afraid. I did see The French Dispatch and loved it, so at least I had that going for me this week.
Comic Reviews: Batman #116, Darkhawk #3 and Dark Knights of Steel #1.

The Morbius movie has a new, extra-large trailer and it does nothing to get me excited for this movie. If anything, it underlines how basic and boring this movie looks. The reminder at the end that it’s coming out in January is all I need to know that this is gonna suck.
The movie feels very basic. There’s the white male lead character, the POC best friend character, and the female love interest. The trailer is very clear about highlighting his super powers, as if anybody goes to a superhero movie because the powers seem cool. The dialogue is hokey, including that Venom joke. I’ve seen both Venom movies. Venom is not well known enough for people to be making Venom jokes like that.
Morbius just doesn’t look good. And I never thought it would be. But I am more than willing for it to prove me wrong when it comes out in the middle of January.
