Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 5/7/22
Another week, another pile of barely there comics. What is happening to me? Do I just…not like comics anymore? Are there too many crossovers that I’m just naturally avoiding? I feel like a disappointment. Maybe I should start reading more indie comics…
Comic Book of the Week goes to One-Star Squadron #6 for a hard-hitting but ultimately satisfying finale.
Meanwhile, I went and saw Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and I loved it! I wasn’t fully on board during the first half at some points, but everything really won me over by the end. Another fine addition to the MCU and I can’t wait to see it again!
Comic Reviews: Marauders #2 and One-Star Squadron #6.

So the channel/thing that is Roku is making a biopic for Weird Al Yankovic, the greatest musician of all time. And it’s going to star Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al, which might be the most inspired casting of all time. This whole thing just looks great!
This looks funny, subversive, weird and just plain darn good. I don’t know what Roku is, but I guess I’m going to have to get it by the time Weird comes out later this year.

Obi-Wan is Looking Pretty Fly
I totally blew it for May the Fourth! It fell on a Wednesday, too, and I wasted my List of Six on some LEGO toys. Alas. Hopefully I can make up for that mistake by just posting this Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show trailer on May the Fifth. Does that still count? Probably not.
The trailer looks great! Lots of action, lots of tense moments, the promise of confrontation between Obi-Wan and Owen Lars. And the promise of some kind of confrontation between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. Will it be as awesome as we all hope? I guess we’ll find out when Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on Disney+ on May 27.
A date where I will be heading out of town for a week-long trip. So I’m gonna miss out for several days.

6 Other Video Game LEGO Sets I Want to See
I had a bit of an adventure this past weekend trying to get my hands on the LEGO set of the Horizon: Forbidden West Tallneck. I had to go out of town to the nearest LEGO store, only to quickly learn that it was also a big day for new Star Wars LEGO and a huge line had formed even before the store opened! Suffice to say, I did not get my Tallneck…
…at the store. I just went home and immediately ordered it on Amazon for the exact same price, with free shipping. So I’ll be getting the LEGO Tallneck this week no problem! I think it’s great that LEGO is branching out into more video game sets. They’ve done some recently for Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, and I own a couple of the Overwatch sets. This is hopefully the start of even more LEGO sets from video games!
Join me after the jump for more video game-themed LEGO sets I want to see in the future.
Read the rest of this entryAll the Boba Fetts, Animated
Our old pal Tell It Animated is back with a fun look at all the cool Boba Fett armors. I’m a big Boba Fett fan, because he’s cool as hell, and that’s largely because his look is so damn good. So this is right up my alley. Even if The Book of Boba Fett wasn’t so great.
As always, this was just plain fun. I hope this dude is super successful making these animations. They’re always a treat when they come along, and I’m happy to share them. Especially since they tend to pop up over the weekend and they make for good Monday morning happiness.
And, as always, should he ever read these posts, I recommend Robin for a future episode!
