I’m Back! With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!
Whew, what a week! For the first time in more than a decade of writing this blog, I actually took a whole week off, it seems. I had plans to maybe schedule some movie trailer posts, and I hoped to get home in time to do weekly comic reviews. But my trip to California was a bit too nuts and a bit too torturous to even try. So I just accepted that I wouldn’t and didn’t post. C’est la vie.
We’re going to make up for that with a bunch of posts this week! Including this awesome new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that came out while I was away.
This game still looks great. Multiplayer? That’s interesting. Some cute new Pokemon. I know I’m going to have fun with all the open world wandering. Will they fill that open world with interesting things to do? We’ll find out. And based on those legendaries, I think I’m definitely getting Pokemon Scarlet. The classic motorcycle dragon looks better than the sci-fi super bike dragon — at least in my opinion.
I still haven’t decided on a starter yet. I’d be willing to take any of them, but we’ll only know for sure when it comes to the final evolution. We’ll just have to keep waiting.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet come out on Nov. 18.

6 Other Transformers Who Need to be LEGO
The LEGO Optimus Prime was released today and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. This is a set that’s existed in my wildest dreams, something I mentioned in a LEGO want list years ago. A LEGO Transformer that actually transforms? The future is now!
But Optimus Prime should just be the start. I don’t see why LEGO can’t do a whole line of these Transformers. It’s going to cost some money for the licensing, but this is a world we all want to inhabit. And I just so happen to have a list of Transformers I’d like to see turned into LEGO. Is this also a list of my favorite Transformers? Yeah, maybe.
Join me after the jump for six Transformers that need to follow Optimus Prime in getting big, fancy, fully transformable LEGO sets!

If you’re reading this post when it goes up on Saturday morning, I am already on my way to sunny California! Should be a fun vacation. Thankfully, I was able to read and review a couple of this week’s pretty good comics before heading to the airport.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Legion of X #1. I was definitely looking forward to this comic and it mostly did not disappoint.
Meanwhile, the third season of Love, Death, Robots turned out to be pretty darn good on Netflix. Definitely worth a watch. While Mike Meyers’ big return, The Pentaverate, was so bad that I stopped watching halfway through. It was only six half-hour episodes, but I still couldn’t bring myself to keep watching.
Comic Reviews: Amazing Spider-Man #2, Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #3, Legion of X #1 and Saga #59.

We’ve known for a very long time now that Star Wars: Rogue One character Cassian Andor would be getting his own spin-off TV show. And since he dies at the end of that movie, it’s a prequel. Nobody is very sure what Andor is going to be about, but the first trailer arrived yesterday as part of Star Wars: Celebration. And it looks cool and funky!
I love the look of this trailer. It’s a bit wild, a bit gnarly, and looks like some solid action and intrigue around the early days of the rebellion. I’m all for that kind of exploration. And hopefully Andor himself turns out to be a cool character on his own. We can hope, right? There’s no reason he can’t be cool as hell in his own show!
Andor comes to Disney+ on Aug. 31.

6 Things I Want to See in a Revived Daredevil Show
Quite recently, the Hollywood trades confirmed the swirling rumors that Marvel Studios is going to bring back the Daredevil TV show that aired for three seasons on Netflix. They’re bringing back Charlie Cox as Daredevil and, if word is to be believed, it’s going to be something of a soft reboot. The first three seasons will still have happened, but the show will perhaps get a fresh coat of paint.
I am all in favor of this idea. I very much enjoyed the Daredevil show, and I’m super pleased at the idea of it coming back. Obviously Disney and Marvel can do whatever they want with the Daredevil brand/franchise, but if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That original show was pretty spectacular, and if courting the fans is something you’re keeping in mind, then definitely revive and refresh instead of reboot. It makes sense.
But what’s the new show going to have? Join me after the jump for six ideas I want to see as we move from old show to new. And feel free to share some of your own thoughts/hopes/dreams in the comments!
