6 Things I Want to See in a Spider-Man Video Game Threequel
I beat and platinumed the new Spider-Man 2 video game this past week and had a total blast. I’ve been playing Spider-Man games since I was a wee lad, and this new series has seen some of the best ever. Swinging around the city, fighting bad guys, getting some great Spider-Man stories, has all been a true video game achievement. And I’m looking forward to many more to come!
Game Rating: 9/10 – Great!
There are going to be more games. The three so far have been super successful and super popular, and Spider-Man is on a role in the larger pop culture universe. Marvel and Sony need to keep striking while the iron is hot, so I expected more games. I don’t know if we’ll get another interlude like the Miles Morales game, or if we’ll go straight to Spider-Man 3, or if there will be any DLC for Spider-Man 2. But I know there will be a threequel, and I have demands, hopes and dreams for what I want to see in that game!
Join me after the jump for all the characters, concepts and stuff I want to see in the Spider-Man video game threequel. Expect FULL SPOILERS for the full game. And feel free to share your own game wants in the comments below.

The day is finally here! After waiting many years, after waiting all day this week, after waiting the hours of my work day, it’s finally time to play and enjoy Spider-Man 2! Granted, I’m posting this in the morning and won’t be able to play until I get out of work later…but still, let’s be happy!
Here’s the launch trailer. Looks great.
This game is gonna be a blast! The last game, and the Miles Morales spin-off, were amazing. And I’ve got a 3-day weekend ahead of me, so I plan to play all weekend long. Gonna swing and web to my heart’s content! I hope everyone else is having just as much fun.

I Think I’m Gonna Try Cyberpunk 2077 Again
This weekend, I will likely finish up with Baldur’s Gate 3, and will set the game down for a good long while. Maybe I’ll play it again in a few months, after several patches, fixes and maybe a definitive edition. So what do I play between now and Spider-Man 2 at the end of October? How about I try Cyberpunk 2077 again. There’s new DLC, after all.
I played Cyberpunk 2077 on launch on my Playstation 4 slim and it ran perfectly. I had zero problems with the game. It wasn’t the be-all, end-all RPG that it promised, and just felt like another first-person RPG, but I had a fun time and played the game to its fullest.
Since then, Cyberpunk has reportedly improved by leaps and bounds, with major updates and upgrades, and now some new content in the DLC Phantom Liberty. And I also now own a Playstation 5. So there’s a good chance the game will be even better!
We’ll see how that goes.

Mortal Kombat 1 is Here!
The latest in the Mortal Kombat series has arrived on all our video game consoles and it looks to be a fun one. All of these games are usually super fun to play. And as a guy who’s really into the story and lore of Mortal Kombat, this one looks especially cool with its universe reset and reshaping.
We’ve got one final launch trailer to share, introducing a couple of the less interesting playable characters.
Reiko and Nitara. Neat. Anyway, this all looks great. I probably won’t play the game for a while. I’m still deep into Baldur’s Gate 3 and so I’m not about to buy a $60 game just for kicks. I’ll wait for a sale, and maybe scoop up all the DLC at once. We’ll see. I’m most interested in Smoke’s new storyline, so hopefully that won’t be spoiled anywhere along the way.

A Bunch of New Mario Gameplay
It’s Monday. I’m on vacation. How about some Super Mario gameplay to pass our time? The next 2D, side-scrolling Mario game is going to be Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and we’ve got a full, 15-minute video about the game. I love Mario games as much as the next person, so let’s check it out.
Yeah, looks like a fun Mario game. Nintendo rarely fails in building new Mario games, so I’m fully on board with what they’re producing here. Who doesn’t love new Mario levels? With new power ups, hidden secrets, collection challenges; these things are always fun and rewarding.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes out on Oct. 20, so we’ve got some time.
