6 Thoughts on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

I have a new favorite! She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been getting a lot of flack for reasons that make no sense to me. This show was everything it said it would be and more, and everything I wanted it to be. Funny, charming, full of personality and perfectly built around a very fun main character. I want to see Tatiana Maslany and Jennifer Walters everywhere now.

TV Show Rating: 10/10 – Fantastic

Once upon a time, I didn’t think She-Hulk would work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I didn’t think the MCU Hulk could translate into a She-Hulk movie. Thankfully, the world changed and the Disney+ TV shows changed everything. The creative team behind She-Hulk: Attorney at Law used the TV format to perfection to bring this character and her unique perspective to life. I want production to start immediately on season 2!

6 Thoughts on Werewolf By Night

Who would have thought we’d ever have a quality Werewolf By Night project from the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Definitely not me! I am an avowed Marvel Zombie through and through, but I have never cared about Werewolf By Night. I don’t know too much about the property, but isn’t the dude just a werewolf riding on the craze from the 1970s? Does he not matter at all? Shows what I know!

Special Presentation Rating: 9/10 – Great

Werewolf By Night was such a great little project from Marvel Studios. I had no idea what to expect, but that first trailer a month ago really set the tone, and then the show itself captured that tone perfectly. Like everyone else on the internet, I want Marvel to do more. I want more projects from this circle of characters, and I want more projects like this, with a real artistic vision. It’s a fun Halloween special and a fun addition to the MCU.

More Doom Patrol is Coming

Doom Patrol is a quality TV show and we’re going to get a fourth season! I gave up on Titans. I gave up on all those CW DC shows. But Doom Patrol remains some real quality content, and New York Comic Con has given us a fun new trailer!

Can’t really tell all that’s happening in this madness of a trailer. But it’s the Doom Patrol. They’ve really gone all out season after season. I’m sure we can count on real good stuff happening to our eyeballs.

Also, the Shipoopi song will always hold a special place in my heart because I sang it when my high school did the Music Man! Good times!

Season 4 of the Doom Patrol comes to HBO Max on Dec. 8.

First Last of Us Trailer Picked a Great Song

The Last of Us is going to be a TV show on HBO, and now we’ve got the first ever trailer! It looks great and they picked a great song to go along with it. This trailer does a great job of setting the mood and setting up all we know about the Last of Us world.

I have high hopes for this show. I loved both games, including The Last of Us 2, and I’m sure HBO can do a good job. There have been a lot of good adaptations of books and comics and games that have crashed and burned lately. So I’m going to remain hopeful and positive, especially after this first look.

And you can always count on Alone and Forsaken by Hank Williams to be a kickass doomsday song.

The Last of Us comes to HBO next year.

6 Things I Want to See in Andor

The first three episodes of Andor arrived on Disney+ today and I can’t wait to watch! The trailers have looked very promising and I have high hopes, more so than most other Star Wars TV shows. I always found it strange that Cassian Andor should get his own TV show, but here we are and we can only hope for the best.

Rebellions are built on hope

I’m loving The Mandalorian as much as everybody else, and I can’t wait to watch Ahsoka. But The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi were both pretty mediocre. Will Andor be better? I love the tone we got in the trailers, of an actual hardcore, gritty war drama. Will the show live up to that tone? I surely hope so.

Join me after the jump for what I hope to get in the Andor TV show! And feel free to share your hopes, dreams and reviews of the first three episodes in the comments!
