Hold All the Phones, There is a Knuckles TV Show Coming

We knew this was coming. It was announced, talked about, hinted at; and now we have a trailer. Dear lord in Heaven, we have a trailer for a live action Knuckles the Echidna TV show. How has it come to this?! I love Knuckles. Like, to an absurd degree. I loved him before I even knew what he looked like, because I was the sort of dorky kid who already knew what an echidna was before Knuckles showed up in Sonic 3. I spent so much energy hoping that Knuckles would show up in one of those two Sonic the Hedgehog animated cartoons from my youth.

Young Sean would have his mind freakin’ blown at this existence of this Knuckles TV show.

And it looks good maybe?! I’m no mega fan of the live action Sonic movies. In fact, I don’t think I particularly like them? I don’t remember. But I do think I really enjoyed Idris Elba as Knuckles in the sequel. So you best darn well believe I’ll be watching this show when it comes to Paramount+ on April 26.

Jeez louise. The Knuckles live action TV show. What even is the world we are living in?

Live Action Last Airbender Still Looks Cool As Heck!

We got a full trailer for the Avatar: The Last Airbender TV show the other day and it still looks slick and cool as all get out. Netflix and the production company have gone all out with the visuals. They not only nailed the look from the original cartoon, but they’ve also enhanced everything in the live action conversion. See for yourself!

Personally, as visually appealing as that trailer is, I think it’s cut really badly. That joke where Aang crashes on his air zoomy and then Sokka makes a quip is bad. But maybe that’s on me. It’s still a cool trailer, and it shows off a lot of stuff from the show. So at the very least, the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender looks visually appealing. Hopefully we’ll get a lot of episodes and get through a lot of the first book.

Avatar: The Last Airbender comes to Netflix on Feb. 22.

Surprise Star Wars Characters Show Up in Bad Batch Season 3

The third and final season of The Bad Batch is coming to Disney+ soon, and it promises to be full of Star Wars action and Star Wars characters. That’s always fun. Personally, I still haven’t seen the second season, but thankfully this trailer doens’t reveal anything too crazy that I missed.

Of course, the big reveal of this trailer is that returning character at the end. No spoilers. I’ve always been a fan of the character, and I’m perfectly happy to see her come back for some awesome action scenes. Why not? Nobody’s ever really gone in Star Wars. As long as the episodes and the action is entertaining.

The third season of The Bad Batch comes to Disney+ on February 21!

6 Thoughts on Echo

Consider me among the people who wasn’t sure if an Echo spin-off series as a great idea. I enjoyed the Hawkeye TV show probably more than most people, and Echo was a fine antagonist in that series, but she wasn’t exactly a showstealer. And her character isn’t exactly all that popular or well known in the comics. But Marvel do what Marvel do, and we got ourselves an Echo TV show!

TV Show Rating: 6/10 – Pretty Good

In a change from the normal Marvel show on Disney+, all five episodes of Echo were released on the same day. Ultimately, this was a great idea, because those episodes were not meaty enough to warrant week-by-week release. I was able to binge the whole thing over a few nights and I can say I’m pleased with the final product. It’s not as bad as I feared, though it also didn’t do much to warrant existing. Still, there’s more good than bad in the first season of Echo and I wouldn’t mind seeing more — especially guest starring elsewhere.

Join me after the jump for my review and full thoughts on the Echo TV show! Expect SOME SPOILERS for the show, and feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments below.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution Looks Badass!

For reasons that I think are dumb, a lot of the internet turned against the Kevin Smith He-Man revival on Netflix a year or two ago. But that show kicked ass, and I’m excited to see it come back for a second season! Masters of the Universe: Revolution looks freakin’ awesome in this new trailer!

I loved the first season, and this new season looks even cooler somehow! Action, bitchin’ 80s tunes, and a lot of intrigue and dramatic character growth! I have nothing but high hopes and unshakeable faith in this new season and I can’t wait to watch!

Also, exciting for me, my favorite Masters of the Universe character makes a quick cameo in that trailer! It’s Snout Spout! You can see him at 1:25 in the trailer. Why is Snout Spout my favorite? Because he’s the one random He-Man action figure I had as a kid! I had others, like He-Man and Ram-Man, but Snout Spout was the one weird, random character in my collection. So he’s my favorite! And he’s gonna make an appearance this season! I’m very excited.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution comes to Netflix on Jan. 25.

(P.S. While searching for the date in the trailer, I paused on a screen that shows Gwildor, the Orko stand-in from the live action movie. Holy heck. That is madness. My hopes for this show just rose tenfold!)
