Did You See This Sweet Marvel Disney+ Trailer?
To coincide with the Agatha All Along finale, Marvel put out this sizzle reel of upcoming Disney+ releases. This teaser trailer delivers our first official looks at Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Eyes of Wakanda, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and, especially, Wonder Man! Everything looks so good!
I remain a staunch fan of Marvel Studios content. Agatha All Along was very good and I really enjoyed the finale. And I can’t wait for these shows! I know people aren’t too excited for Ironheart, but I think it looks good! I prefer my Iron People to be nuts and bolts, not nanomachines. And Wonder Man could be a real sleeper hit. Daredevil: Born Again will hopefully live up to all the hype. And the various cartoons should be a hoot!
Granted, this means 2025 is going to be full of Marvel content, with three movies and now half a dozen shows. But I think Marvel just needs to burn off all these completed projects before they slow their releases. And I’m all for it!

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 10/19/24
Here we are in the middle of October and nothing to show for it but some comic book reviews. Oh well. This week sees the first issue of Mystique and the last issue of Tom Taylor’s Nightwing, among other things.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Wonder Woman #14 because I feel like this comic is on a whole different level and it’s not fair to the other comics I’m reviewing.
Meanwhile, I beat Star Wars: Outlaws, and I posted my review/thoughts this past week. The game won’t be missed. In the aftermath, I’ve started getting back into Baldur’s Gate 3. A lot of clean-up patches have come out since I last played a year ago (finally saw the epilogues!) and I’ve decided to maybe finish off a character I dropped and start a new one with a friend. Should be fun.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 8/24/24
Another week, another stack of interesting comics. Nothing too mind blowing came out this week, but I felt like reviewing some on my pile for funsies, like Nightwing and Ultimate Spider-Man.
Comic Book of the Week goes to the stand alone Power Rangers Infinity #1 because it’s just a fun, silly comic that I enjoyed.
Meanwhile, only a week until I’m on vacation and playing Star Wars: Outlaws! Can’t wait! I hope it’s good! Shame to hear we won’t be getting a second season of The Acolyte, but at least now I can watch the second season of The Rings of Power!

At random this morning, we got a new trailer for the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie, and it’s something special. Never have you heard Johnny Cash like this before. Brace yourself.
They’re really leaning into the new R rating they have received, pushing the violence in the hopes that it makes for a fun movie. Will it work? I don’t know. I still don’t know if I’m going to see this one in theaters. I never saw Madame Webb, and I’m pretty sure I only watched Morbius in theaters because I was doing movie reviews at the time for work. But Kraven the Hunter? This Kraven the Hunter? Fighting a CGI Rhino? Dude, I just don’t know…I mean, I have zero faith in this universe and wish they’d just stop. But at least they’re putting the movie out instead of voiding it completely for the tax write off…
Kraven the Hunter comes to theaters on Dec. 13.

Hench-Sized Comic Book Reviews – 8/3/24
Another week, another pile of comics, and life moves on nicely. This was one of those weird Fifth Wednesdays, so not as many comics, but we do have some important ones like the end of Power Rangers and the start of X-Force.
Comic Book of the Week goes to Ultimate Spider-Man #7 because I liked it the best out of the comics I read this week.
Meanwhile, the Kickstarter is up and running for the second issue of the Cloakroom, the short story anthology for students in Scott Snyder’s Comic Writing 101 class. Snyder has a ton of stuff going on these days, and I haven’t even really dug into much of it yet, but I’m happy to support my classmates! I was featured in the first issue, and hope to see many more issues to come! So go support up-and-coming comic writers!
