Holy Crap! There’s a New Floating Hands X-Men Parody!
How is this possible? How did the Internet bring this about? Enough rhetorical questions! Let’s just enjoy this two-part parody of the Messiah Complex! It makes sense that the first video in 6 years parodies a storyline from 6 years ago.
Part 1
Part 2
Heh, those are still great. And Part 2 includes Multiple Man! How cool is that? I hope this is a sign that the good people at Floating Hands Studios will be making even more! I’ll definitely be posting Part 3 when it comes along – which, based on their current rate of production, should be some time next year! Stay tuned!

Oh, It’s Deadpool. Deadpool is Getting Married
The full teaser wedding picture has been revealed, and it looks like Deadpool is the lucky groom! But personally, I am far more interested in the big picture itself. I definitely want this as a poster. Just look at all the characters!
You’ve got Forbrush Man, Beta Ray Bill, Stringray, Gargoyle, Multiple Man and so many more! It’s a brilliant picture by artist Scott Koblish. That is an achievement, let me tell you. As for Deadpool getting married? Meh, I couldn’t care less. Is anybody reading Deadpool? Is it part of some gag? Or has he seriously fallen in love with somebody? I don’t read Deadpool because he’s just not my kind of humor, but getting married just for the silliness of it sounds like something Marvel would do with the character.

6 Pop Culture Resolutions for 2014
I may as well say that my New Year’s resolutions for 2014 are to lose weight and save money, but I’ve kind of been making those same resolutions for the past 30 years, and they haven’t come true yet! So how about we veer wildly off course and talk about something much more fun: pop culture!
No, I’m not resolving to play fewer video games or watch less TV. Don’t be crazy.
Instead, I’ve whipped up a list of 6 pop culture things I want to see in 2014. We already know what movies, TV shows and more are coming out, and I resolve to drown myself in all of them. But we don’t know how good or bad they’re going to be, or what surprises might be in store. So let’s get our hopeful wishing hats on, and predict the 6 pop culture resolutions we want to see in 2014!
And yes, I realize these are more like ‘wishes’ than ‘resolutions’, but New Year is all about the resolutions. Cut me some slack, I had a cold this week. Join me after the jump!
The Greatest Superhero Halloween Adventure of All Time!
Gather ’round, boys and ghouls, and let me tell you the tale of a spooky battle between good and evil that took place on a Halloween night, much like this one. No, it’s not Batman’s Long Halloween. It’s not even Hellboy vs. the Boogeyman. The greatest comic book Halloween adventure of all time is X-Men Unlimited #21 from the extra terrifying year 1998, when Strong Guy, Multiple Man, Wolfsbane and the Beast defeated an army of demons and saved a wedding with the help of a flaming toupee.
I kid you not. It is just as amazing as it sounds.
For Halloween this year, I’m going to share with you my all-time favorite superhero Halloween story. You can keep your Batmen and Sandmen and Hellchildren, there isn’t anything better than a couple of B and C-list X-Men on a wacky adventure in a tertiary anthology comic! It’s got action, it’s got comedy, it’s got angst, and it’s got more nicknames for manly hairpieces than you can shake a witch’s broom at.
So join me after the jump – if you dare! Moohahahahaha!
All-New X-Factor Revealed!
New York Comic-Con is in full swing today, and announced just this morning was All-New X-Factor by Peter David! We all knew this was coming, but it still feels good to get the first details of the new series – even if it won’t feature Multiple Man, my favorite superhero.
All-New X-Factor #1 will debut in January with Carmine Di Giandomenico on art.
The new premise is that Serval Industries, a search engine company (like Google), has decided to get into the superhero business. So they bought the name ‘X-Factor’ off Jamie Madrox and have put together their own superhero team. The cast will feature Polaris, Quicksilver and, surprisingly, Gambit, along with three other cast members that PAD and Marvel are keeping secret for now.
At least they all get spiffy new uniforms. Though why Quicksilver or Gambit would join some corporate superhero team instead of sticking with the Avengers or X-Men is beyond me. But I’m sure all will be explained once we start reading.
I’m very excited to see what PAD has in store for us and X-Factor.
In the same Comic-Con panel, PAD said the book will focus a lot on the relationship between Polaris and Quicksilver, and the fact that they are half-siblings. PAD also said that Gambit doesn’t trust Quicksilver at all, so that should create some necessary drama. He also gave a more in-depth interview with Comic Book Resources.
When asked about Madrox, PAD apparently said he had “no idea” what’s up with him. X-Men editor Nick Lowe told the fans that there are plans for the character. I can’t wait to see those too! Perhaps he’s read my blog and seen some of my suggestions.
