6 Things I Want to See in Spider-Man: No Way Home
The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home arrived this week and the internet is having a celebration! Not all of the rumors were confirmed in the trailer, but enough has been teased that everybody seems pretty happy. I’m very excited myself. And as with most upcoming superhero movies, I have a list of demands!
Anything can happen in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The multiverse has been broken open, Into the Spider-Verse was a huge success, a lot of actors are still around; this movie could have everything. The only way to know for sure is to see it when it comes out on Dec. 17. But until then, I’m going to speculate wildly about what exactly I hope to see in this new movie. Life is just fun that way.
And feel free to share your own hopes and dreams for Spider-Man: No Way Home in the comments!

The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home arrived last night and it has taken the internet by storm — largely by confirming a lot of the rumors and predictions. I’m excited. See for yourself.
In case you don’t know what’s going on, that’s Alfred Molina returning as Doctor Octopus, the character he played in the movie Spider-Man 2 from way back in 2004. And we can also see a pumpkin bomb from Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. As far as we know, these actors are not playing new versions of these characters.
It would seem that the villains from the original, early-2000s Spider-Man movies are somehow going to travel through the Multiverse to show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home to fight the current movie Spider-Man.
Obviously, this is cool and I’m very excited. But I’m curious whether or not casual fans will get what’s happening. I fondly remember every single character from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, but are casual fans going to understand the implication of Doc Ock showing up in the new movie? Will they recognize the Green Goblin’s pumpkin bomb? Or maybe Marvel is so confident in the pop culture power of their Spider-Man films that they’re just going to go for broke and hope everybody is able to keep up.
Either way, we’ll hopefully find out on Dec. 17 when Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in theaters.

Let’s Kill Some Time Until Spider-Man
Apparently, the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has leaked online in various bootleg versions. I haven’t seen it, nor do I want to see it. I’m more than willing to have patience because word on the internet streets is that the actual, full trailer is going to release tonight during some special Sony presentation. So I’ll likely post it tomorrow!
While we wait, how about some Honest Trailers? They’re always fun!
And I was right, they were fun! Honest Trailers are always good for some time killing, and these worked excellently. They really nailed Loki and The Suicide Squad. And in a couple of months, I’ll be able to do an Honest Trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. So it really all exists full circle.
Now we simply sit back and wait for the real No Way Home trailer to arrive…

Let’s Take a Big, Long Look at the Eternals This Time!
A new trailer for Eternals has arrived and it’s pretty crazy. This one really dives deep into what these characters can do and what they’re all about. And it’s all big and cosmic and crazy, with monsters and powers and explanations.
Personally, I don’t need every facet of this movie to explain why they didn’t help against Thanos. But then I’m not one of those people who demands to know why the other Avengers don’t lend a hand in the various solo movies. Just watch the dang film in front of you. Do you help out every single time every one of your friends needs help moving?
Anyway, this looks solid. Part of me is worried that it’s still too big and too crazy to land with audiences. And this trailer does a lot to reference other parts of the Marvel Universe, which makes me think Disney is a little worried as well. It’s like they feel the need to reinforce it’s connections to the MCU to make sure people see it.
I guess we’ll find out when Eternals arrives in theaters on Nov. 5!

6 Thoughts on The Suicide Squad (Review)
The long wait is over and The Suicide Squad has arrived. Not to be confused with Suicide Squad from a couple of years ago. This is a sequel/relaunch and obviously much, much better. James Gunn wrote and directed this new film, and I’m as big a James Gunn fan as everybody else. So I had high hopes for this film and all of them were met and/or exceeded!
Movie Rating: 9/10 – Great.
Take a bunch of unimportant C and D-list supervillains from the annals of DC Comics and put them on a team of black ops specialists is a great idea. They’ve been making fun Suicide Squad comics for years. The team has shown up in the DC cartoons and the DC live action shows. They’re a pretty impressive crew. So it’s a shame that The Suicide Squad has bombed at the box office. We’re definitely never getting a sequel now. C’est la vie.
Join me after the jump for my thoughts/review of The Suicide Squad. And expect FULL SPOILERS for the movie.
